Summary: A year of continuously spotty coverage, signal drops, and resets finished off with complete router failure. After a frustrating call to tech support I'm looking forward to just buying a new router, not made by Belkin, and going back to the relaxing life I experienced not wondering if the internet was working.

Summary: Over the past few months I have been trying to figure out whether this router is bad or there is a problem with my connection. I found out both were at fault. I immediately switched providers. But now it is time to publicly shame this router. I bought it thinking that a dual band router would be amazing but I should have paid heed to all the 1 star reviews out there. The router randomly disconnects (more so on the 5Ghz band).
Summary: This Belkin is absolutely the worst router I've ever had the misfortune of using. I urge you at all costs to steer clear of Belkin products. My level of tech proficiency is high — I'm a web developer and have worked tech support in the past — and even I gave up after a few hours of bashing my head against the wall. We've had spotty Wi-Fi ever since we bought the stupid thing.

Summary: This is a piece of crap router. I've had it for less than an year. It's aesthetically pleasing and setup was super easy, but a few months in it started disconnecting and reconnecting by itself (i always keep the firmware up to date btw). Then this month (10/2014), there was the whole fiasco with all belkin routers going completely off line for a full day, which I've never heard of for any other brand. After this, the frequency of disconnections has increased.
Excerpt: Turns out that Cox Cable does not support this router that I purchased online so I returned it to the La Mesa store and this time I bought an all-in-one Modem/router combination by Netgear. I used Netgear in my last set-up. the Modem was still good but I thought it was time to upgrade. While in Walmart I talked to the Cox rep and he told me I might have had to upgrade anyway to take advantage of the new Internet speed they were talking about.

Summary: I had a previous Belkin router for +6 years. It would occasionally act up, but no real problems. I decided to go with Belkin again despite reading the iffy reviews on here and boy was this a mistake. The router stopped working after 2 weeks, just one morning decided that it couldn't connect to the modem or internet. The signal was never good either. I'd be 5 feet away and only have 2 bars on my computer.
Summary: This didn't work at all!!! After 4 hours of customer support...I had to go out and buy a different router at the local big box store. I did not buy a Belkin this time around. After 8 minutes of hooking up the newly purchased one....it was up and running. I will never buy Belkin again.
Excerpt: We were told that it was easy to install...just hook it up and it would be ready. Not so....after having our internet provider here for over an hour we gave up and took it back for a full refund.
Excerpt: The instructions for this wireless router were pathetic. I opened the box and I saw numbers '2' and '3' on the cables for making the necessary connections. There was no step '1', which I guess was opening the box! There was no mention as to which cable had to be hooked up to your computer. Good thing I already knew how the router, modem, and computer had to be connected! The stupid CD-Rom never would install the software properly.
