Summary: I can put dd-wrt on my Linksys WRT54 just fine. I can follow instructions... This router doesn't take the custom firmwares easily. I had to try multiple times. After unplugging it work a week during a move, the firmware was erased. Something is not good with this configuration of chipset.
Summary: Reading the box it was very exciting to see some of the great features. Putting them in action though it didn't really take well to DDWRT and extending ranges or capabilities of exising networks. Its now turned into a utility router and a backup router, but went with a more expensive AMPED wireless device to get the full effect of what was desired.
Summary: I bought this router about a year ago. Really had no problems with it during that time. Once in awhile it would drop off line, but hey, there are quirks with all electronics. BUT!!!! Paying the initial price of $120 you would think it would last for more than a year. I will not buy another Belkin product. Replaced with a Netgear....will report how this one holds up. Took me less than 5 minutes to set up and off I go.
