"Could have been better. when working the speed is great"

Koolaidman94, CNET
14 September 2010
  • Pros: speed is great, i see it take lot less time to do things on my ps3. and my computer says the speed is upwards of 70mbps, 1gbps if its plugged in. usb printing. dual-band.
  • Cons: Your taking a shot in the dark buying this, because the first one i got, was TOTAL GARBAGE. i had to excange it because i thought it was defectiv because a while after having it it would constantly disconnect to 'local' only.

  • Pros: Smaller footprint on my office desk than some other 'similiar routers'
  • Cons: 1. No LAN connection lights 2. Takes much longer than others to get running 3. Buggy firmware, sluggish browser interface on either Mac/ Windows 4. Won't stay connected to my Canon Printer (MP610) 5. Still waiting to hear from Support/Understand

"Worked fine until I called customer service"

21 May 2010
  • Pros: Easy setup, immediate connection, good range.
  • Cons: When troubleshooting with customer service why 1 of my 3 devices wouldn't connect, the process hosed the router.

"Disappointed with Belkin Play (not the Max)"

Elliott Minor, CNET
29 April 2010
  • Pros: Like dual band feature and increased security over my decade-old Belkin Pre-N router. But at least one laptop adopter couldn't handle WPA/WPA2.
  • Cons: Deal breaker was range. The Pre-N provided a strong signal about 120 feet behind our house. The Belkin Play seemed sluggish and some Web pages were balky at that range.
