Served Well.

Jason H., Newegg
11 February 2012
  • Summary: I would like to add though that this router served my platoon in afghanistan very well. At any given time 20-30 i.p's were logged in doing everything from playing call of duty on xbox to watching movies on our movie server, to most importantly internet. So for that I thank you.
  • Pros: Handles large amounts simultanious connections Solid construction, doesnt tip over at the slightest knock. Media and gaming never a problem
  • Cons: None till very recently. It lost DHCP ability in the switch, wireless connections are fine. No amount of reseting, reinstalling, renewing, or refreshing will fix it. At first I thought it was my computers network card, but alas all connected components (xbox, 2 desktops, printer, network drive) all give the "fault" i.p 169.254.xxx.xxx

scared about security setup from third party. but content.

  • Summary: good product, good condition, only concern was if there was security on it when it booted up, how i would remove it, but low and behold, the security switch is on the front and resetting a router no matter where it was manufactured resets the security. also went online to Belkin's website to discover the setup software. Belkin's website took forever to find a legacy product. but it works just fine.

  • Summary: I bought this unit around a year ago. One reason (at the time) very few routers had a USB port for a hard drive. It worked great for around 10 months but now I have to reset it (unloug it and plug it back in) every few days becaus eit gets flakey. It has a nice set of features for opening ports (I run all my security cameras through a web based connection) within the firewall.

  • Summary: got this wireless router to run multiple gaming consoles at the same time without getting NAT restricted. Setup was a piece of cake, hooked everything up, used the installation CD with no prob... hooked up my sons xbox and my xbox, we connect no problem... 3 hours later we get kicked off xbl and cant reconnect to the network... firmware update is incompatible with my router... how can this be? the problem is usually solved by restarting my cable modem and router...

Good & Bad

  • Summary: The main reason I purchased this router was because of the usb plug. I was able to connect a storage device directly to the router and then use any computer to retrieve what I needed. It does work well but get disconnected once in a while. I also loose internet connection sometime. This happens rarely but does happen. It reconnects quickly but is a problem. I bought this to replace one I had without the usb connection but not sure which is better.
