Flexible, Portable, Easy to Use.... YES THIS ALLOWS YOU TO DUPLIATE HOTEL / PLANE WIFI

Scott Cooper, Amazon
4 September 2014
  • Summary: As a frequent traveler I use this mini-router in hotels and on planes. Some hotels require login pages to access wifi, which is fine for PC, but sometimes phones, tablets, and gaming devices cannot reach the hotel's login page. With this mini-router I use my PC to connect hotel wifi, then connect phones, tablets, and gaming devices through the router. Everything is then on hotel internet. Easy to set up. This also can save you $$$.

Tried to get this to work as an Ethernet Adapter. Never got it working.

JO, Amazon
5 August 2014
  • Summary: Was trying to get this to work on 802.11 G network. It never worked. A 30 minute call with tech support did not help. Tech support said they would research the problem and call back in 1 to 1.5 hours. They never called back.

Love these

red, Amazon
2 June 2014
  • Summary: I've been buying these for years. The models changed a little overtime but they're really good for my needs. In our production facility we print bar codes for cases and pallets and the wireless network card for those printers each costs almost $200. I use these instead with the built in network card on the printers and the employees can move the printers around the warehouse freely between any of the production lines they're working on.

Exactly what I wanted

The Goat, Amazon
11 May 2014
  • Summary: I was looking for a good small portable wireless router and after looking around, I had narrowed it down to three different brands. I decided to go with the Asus simply because I have had excellent results with their routers and with already setting up a half dozen or so without ever having to go back to make any changes-- it was only logical. In fact I just had to cycle the power on one because we had the power blip and the modem became, well, confused.

Amazing little router - 5 stars if it wasn't for the rebate

S. Dunbar, Amazon
11 May 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this product to allow me to hook up a TV and BluRay player for streaming video. I spent 1 minute with the manual and another 2 minutes setting it up. I hooked it to a standalone computer, selected which operation mode I wanted (there are 5 and I needed Wireless Network Adapter Mode), entered my WiFi password and boom - I'm done. The device rebooted and was usable in literately 3 minutes. Another cool feature - this is powered by USB voltage.

SImple, strong signal, robust, and tiny device.

Brian Henderson, Amazon
10 May 2014
  • Summary: I bought this for several intended uses. 1. As a range extender for my ASUS NT900 Router which is necessarily at one end of my 2400 sq ft home. My bedroom is at the furthest end of the house, and when I'm in bed, any of my devices are at the furthest distance from the main router. They worked, but at the limit of signal strength and were occasionally unreliable.

Good Travel Router

Andrew Magyar, Amazon
10 May 2014
  • Summary: You have to initially set it up with an ethernet cable, connecting to 192.168.1.1. You should not need to install any of the included software, but you will want to disable your wireless interface. If the software is easier for you, use it. Once in, you just setup the SSID, security and wireless password. It reboots, you unplug the ethernet and from that point onward you can do everything else over a Wifi connection.

Love it. Range is just ok.

Brian - "A Picky Person", Amazon
19 April 2014
  • Summary: It's very easy to setup in any of the modes. It's super small and compact. Does exactly what it should, and does it well, like most ASUS products. Power supply has a detachable USB cord, which is pretty standard these days, still, i like to see it more. I bought this to link my FOSCAM wireless camera and my tablet while on travel to use as a baby monitor. CON: Without an external antenna, be aware the range might be less than expected.

If you're interested in "Wifi account sharing" looks elsewhere

john, Amazon
19 April 2014
  • Summary: First off, I should say, I bought this item via Amazon Primce and received it in perfect condition and really quickly. My low rating is for the product itself, not for the excellent Amazon service. I was looking for a wireless router for travel and came across this device. It's small so it's easy to take with you.
