Summary: This is a great little router, runs very well on a standard setup and is easily configurable. Issues come up though if you wish to use it a little differently. I had to get custom firmware to be able to set-up my second unit since Access point wireless link connection only supports Opensystem/None or Opensystem/WEP only.
Pros: Very good router, hardware is top notch and reliable.
Cons: Firmware is somewhat limited, runs a little hot
Summary: I bought this router because I needed something faster than what I had since my new wifi printer was very slow. Unfortunately, the new router didn't solve my printer problem but internet is a little faster now. I had to spend about an hour getting it set up with a customer service rep. The router was set improperly.
Summary: Setup wasn't quite as plug and play as the box suggested. I had to go online and find additional setup troubleshooting help but once I found it all was well. We have an old house with thick walls. WAY better speed reliability and reach than we were getting with the Comcast wireless router.
Summary: Close to when I got it, I decided to update the firmware to the latest (1.0,1.8n). With this firmware I lost connection on the wireless a few times over a few days so I reverted back to what I got from the factory (22.214.171.124f) which seems better. I haven't had many issues at all, but this has cropped up: - Using an external drive as a network drive has been used a couple times, but was flaky one time. Possibly a user error, didn't do further testing to be sure.
Pros: Works, More range than my old g router, Good GUI
Cons: not all the firmware works well (keeps the wireless connection alive)
