decent stable router with medium range and USB for under 100$
21 September 2014
Summary: If you want to use a USB storage device as a samba share or ftp or network drive the transfer rates are really slow and the Wifi range is not great at all says 300mbs even next to the device 130 is the best pull i got. But its stable the ports are fast and the setup is easy and it has a nice web GUI thats easy to use.
Summary: Rock solid performance router for anybody in need of a router that doesn't cost an arm and a leg that offer great performance. 4 Gpbs ports for you wired needs and a dual band wifi interface to handle anything you want!
Pros: - Rock solid performance, - Easy setup, - Handle a lot of concurrent request / simultanous clients, - Dual band, - Get Merlin's build firmware if you want extended features set.
Fast, Stable, Capable. For the money, nothing else even comes close.

Summary: If you are looking for a robust, speedy, and feature-rich router which doesn't cost a lot, this is it. I use two of these, one for home and one for a church network I manage. I use the one on the church network to run DHCP for over 100 devices as well as run an FTP drive, 10 other access points and switches, and 3 network printers. It gives me all of the control and visibility I need to manage my network.
Summary: This is a great little router, runs very well on a standard setup and is easily configurable. Issues come up though if you wish to use it a little differently. I had to get custom firmware to be able to set-up my second unit since Access point wireless link connection only supports Opensystem/None or Opensystem/WEP only.
Pros: Very good router, hardware is top notch and reliable.
Cons: Firmware is somewhat limited, runs a little hot
Summary: I bought this router because I needed something faster than what I had since my new wifi printer was very slow. Unfortunately, the new router didn't solve my printer problem but internet is a little faster now. I had to spend about an hour getting it set up with a customer service rep. The router was set improperly.
Summary: I have had this router for nearly a year and so far have been quite satisfied with it. Wifi speeds are excellent, with few dropped connections. USB ports for network storage is a nice feature too. Easy to set up, took less than 10 minutes. The stock firmware is not so great though. Once I put custom firmware on it I had no trouble whatsoever. Overall, well worth the price for a quality router.
Pros: Fast, reliable LAN speeds, good wireless coverage. USB ports for external storage
Summary: As a previous user mentioned, it's best to use custom firmware for this router. I had alot of disconnect issues until i switched to the custom firmware. issue solved and it now works great. The speeds on 5 G are as fast as a wired connection.
