Summary: Bought this product almost a year ago. The product is great and the firmware truly gets a lot of upgrades. It's almost like getting a free upgrade to a newer version consider all the features they add.
Excerpt: I found the setup easy - the instructions were clear. Product build quality and design/form factor are very good. I think the power on/off button could be make a little larger. The router angle had to be adjusted to cover bedroom and living room area properly.
Summary: Immediately flashed DD-WRT build 11/11/2014 and it's been rock solid for a month (no reboots). I did turn down the TX power to 40mw (default is 80mw) after reading about gradual signal degradation. Added benefit is it runs cooler. Signal easily covers a 3K sqft house and 1/4 acre lot.
I am not a very technical person so I didn't mess with the other extras like VPN, Guest access etc

Summary: Granted, I just received the unit today and just set the network up 1 hr ago, I was still compelled to write an initial review of the router. Let me be honest and tell you that I was out of my mind nervous when I was setting up the unit.
Summary: It works very well until I tried to hook up the external hard drive, which caused it to freeze on a regular basis. There is no fix to it other than the reset button and disconnecting the hard drive.
Summary: ok so the good its got great range, on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz channels, i have run into a issue where every once in a blue moon i cant pull up internet on the 2.4ghz band it says im connected and have internet but nothing will pull up till i turn off and back on the laptops wireless card.
Summary: This is a cracking bit of kit. The USB printer port was really handy. Lots of great features. Unfortunately I had to send it back, because I needed to be able to have multiple schedules for allowing computers to connect to different web services (e.g. gaming).
Summary: It's better than my old BT HomeHub 3. WiFi range on 2.4ghz is great through my small 2 bedroom flat. I understand that 5ghz is faster and range is less. Even though all my decides support 5ghz, some areas of my flat I don't get a very good signal - even though all my internal walls are stud walls.
