Summary: Advantage: able to fine tune the WiFi strength. I even low down the 2.4GHz WiFi strength to 1%, and WiFi works well in my living room while I do not need to worry WiFi-related health issue in my bed room. The WiFi connection speed with my Android phone is fast.
Summary: I've had this router for six months, and I'm finally giving up on it and going out to buy a new one. I have had problems with intermittent disconnects with this router. It can be fine for days, then it seems when I most need reliability, it will drop six times in 8 hours (I work from home.
Great for Single story home, useless for multiple floors

Summary: Asus makes great products but this is not one of them and it has not lived up to Asus name. So here is the breakdown after 3 weeks of using this router. I live in a 2 story 1500 sqft condo. Not a big place but due to multiple floors range has been a issue.
Summary: This is not a horrible router. It is not a great router. The best part of this device is the range; the coverage area is exceptional. Additionally, it is easy to administer, reserve IP addresses and other various things.
Summary: I'm not sure if I got a dud, but the attached CineRAID USB3 drive will occasionally disappear until I plug and re-plug it in. Router freezes every few days and I've had to un plug it and wait a minute before powering it up again to get it to work. Range isn't any better than my old WRT54GL.
Do you require 2.4 ghz wireless? If so, look elsewhere.

Summary: I've been running this router for 7 months and have the following conclusions: 5Ghz works good. Both N and AC Router software has improved with each release, in usability, features, and speed. Asus is updating frequently although they made little progress on the 2.4 issues.
Summary: I purchased this based on its "excellent range and download speeds". Sadly, the range sucks (I live in a 1500 sq ft house) - The signal constantly drops, showing full bars, but no internet . When fully connected - its great, but It is so unreliable it defeats the purpose.
Excerpt: I've recently upgraded my broadband packe with virgin media and have a 50mb service, the router virgin provide is excellent except that it lacs a number of features I need like keywork blocking, vpn and parental controls.
Excerpt: So, Lets start with the good points :), This is a very nice looking unit that fits nicely around the house :) Using this router as both a Wired & on the 5ghz wifi connection is awesome, if this was all you wanted from the router, then you can definatly do NO WORSE than buy this product.
This router is very easy to setup for people with and without IT/networking knowledge

Summary: This router is very easy to setup for people with and without IT/networking knowledge. I have also noticed a definitely improvement over my speeds and performance from my router given to me by my ISP.
