Good 2.4GHZ WiFi strengh, but poor USB2.0 port printer connection (EPSON WF-2651)

Daniel L., Amazon
24 April 2015
  • Summary: Advantage: able to fine tune the WiFi strength. I even low down the 2.4GHz WiFi strength to 1%, and WiFi works well in my living room while I do not need to worry WiFi-related health issue in my bed room. The WiFi connection speed with my Android phone is fast.

Great for Single story home, useless for multiple floors

#AmazonFan, Amazon
8 February 2015
  • Summary: Asus makes great products but this is not one of them and it has not lived up to Asus name. So here is the breakdown after 3 weeks of using this router. I live in a 2 story 1500 sqft condo. Not a big place but due to multiple floors range has been a issue.

The negatives far outweigh the positives

Jonathan Flaugher, Amazon
13 November 2014
  • Summary: This is not a horrible router. It is not a great router. The best part of this device is the range; the coverage area is exceptional. Additionally, it is easy to administer, reserve IP addresses and other various things.

Locks up often

R. Neve, Amazon
29 May 2014
  • Summary: I'm not sure if I got a dud, but the attached CineRAID USB3 drive will occasionally disappear until I plug and re-plug it in. Router freezes every few days and I've had to un plug it and wait a minute before powering it up again to get it to work. Range isn't any better than my old WRT54GL.

Do you require 2.4 ghz wireless? If so, look elsewhere.

Injuis, Amazon
8 May 2014
  • Summary: I've been running this router for 7 months and have the following conclusions: 5Ghz works good. Both N and AC Router software has improved with each release, in usability, features, and speed. Asus is updating frequently although they made little progress on the 2.4 issues.

Overpriced for very weak signal

ken, Amazon
11 March 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this based on its "excellent range and download speeds". Sadly, the range sucks (I live in a 1500 sq ft house) - The signal constantly drops, showing full bars, but no internet . When fully connected - its great, but It is so unreliable it defeats the purpose.

Disappointed

Solari, Amazon
8 November 2013
  • Summary: I bought this router for its rich feature set (OpenVPN client in particular). Unfortunately I quickly ran into issues with the 2.4GHz wireless which kept dropping out and had periods of vastly reduced throughput.
