Summary: After my previous PCI Ethernet card started erroring out several times per week, I decided it was time to replace it. Since my motherboard on my computer, and my Router were both ASUS, I jumped at getting this Ethernet card. Couldn't have been easier, and up-to-date drivers, as recent as last month, have kept it running in top form!
just works... no brain install... no drivers to select... plug n play

Summary: e-storm fried internet adapter on Asus m/board called Asus tech support (they are real and pick up the fone) they said this was the one... Amazon were great as usual snapped the card into PCI slot and bingo the internet started rockin' n rollin' that's all... back to work...
Summary: Bought two of these to use strictly for data transfer. The product description states 16K jumbo frame support. However the cards that arrived only support 7K frames. Be aware of this if you decide to purchase.
Summary: my home pc Ethernet was on the blink. I downloaded a realtek up date for my Ethernet port, bad idea, couldn't connect. ordered the Asus Ethernet adapter for small money without wasting a lot of time.
Summary: I bought this online without reading further into it. I put it in to my system and Windows 7 automatically detected it as my old card that I took out. After troubleshot extensively, I went to ASUS website and started reading. In a matter of seconds I found out that the card does not support Win 7 64bit. I removed the card and put it in a 32bit WinXP system and it worked great and configured without a hitch.
Summary: Ordered two. One DOA, promptly replaced by Amazon - amazing service, replaced with next day delivery even before returned unit got to UPS. These are a commodity item. Cheap capacitors - these boards have only five of these unreliable parts versus others that have seven or more, which I take to be a good thing. Won't last forever but inexpensive and the ones that work at all do so as advertised. Realtek 8169SC chip.
