Summary: Extremely easy to setup. It's pretty much plug and play. The speed is exactly what I'm getting directly off my modem. I noticed it has helped a little with taking some load off of my home WiFi. I usually have about 8 devices using the WiFi but now I've cut it down to 5. I haven't had any dropped connections. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
Summary: 63mbps from modem, 63mbps threw wireless router, 63mpbs threw 100ft of Cat6 at the switch. 114ft of Cat6 from modem. What else is there to say. It works like it should. No setup required. Just plug it in and hook up your patch cords.
Summary: First to explain what I am doing with this. I recently (almost 4 months ago) ran Cat 6 Ethernet cable from my home office to our living-room. I wanted a more reliable connection for our streaming devices (AppleTV, PS4, and Smart Blu-ray.) as wireless was not sufficiently stable. We are a cable cutting home so to speak. All of our TV viewing is either through internet streaming, Blu-ray's, or a local media server.
Summary: I was just looking for a fast switch, no bells and whistles, and for a low price, but it had to be reliable too. Well, I honestly believe that I have found just that when I bought this. It's fast, reliable, and at a crazy low price too. A happy camper here!
Summary: Great little switch. Works as advertised with gigabit speeds. Physically very small which is a benefit for me as well. Please note that the manual has an error; it has the colors reversed for 10/100 and 1000 connections. Gigabit connections are amber, and 10/100 are green. This is the same color scheme used on the WRT600N router which I am using with this switch.
Summary: The item received was my second purchase. The first one arrived with an European wall adapter, meaning I can't plug this device in any electrical US standard 3 pin plug. I requested an RMA and reorder the switch from amazon. Big surprise, same European adapter. I was irritating all the time spend requesting RMA, repacking, waiting for new device etc.. I went to Goodwill and purchased a recycled 12 Volt 1Amp US standard wall adapter for $2.
