Easy to set up but not as quick as we’d hoped.

  • Summary: ASUS’ DSL-N13 is easy to set up and simple to maintain. This modem router provides a host of features but delivers poor speeds, making it unsuitable for heavy use.
  • Pros: Integrated print and FTP server, EZSetup initiation, two USB ports
  • Cons: Slow throughput speeds, slow Internet sync speeds, Ethernet ports limited to 10/100Mbps

Asus DSL-N13 review

13 February 2009
  • Excerpt: This router was simple to install thanks to the EZSetup software included on CD. By default, the software generates a network name and a 128-bit WEP security key for you, although these can be customised. The web interface provides more comprehensive features, despite its sparse design. Although the DSL-N13 doesn't have extras like Gigabit Ethernet or dual frequency, it contains embedded software to share USB printers and storage.
