Summary: I use this with a AT&T option GT Ultra PCMCIA card and a Seirra 882u USB card and both work great. The main reason I bought this is because I didn't want to get the 3G Ipads for my wife and I since I already had a data plan with the above stated cards. (Why pay again) Once I set this up I plug it into a inverter in my truck and while I drive along my wife can surf with her IPad when I get to my folks house (who have no Internet) I create my own WIFI network and we don't...

Summary: I love this product. It's very easy to use and allows multiple access for a single PCMCIA card that can always be left on and in use. I had a little difficulty in setting it up (due to the card brand that I had) but I was able to work through it and the vendor that shipped the product to me directly was very easy to communicate with. Amazon is always very superb with the product, vendor and review information.
Summary: Could not get this unit to work and submitted three tickets to Aluratek asking for help. The last ticket was submitted two weeks ago and I still have not had a response. They do not have a Tech Help line to call. No phone number or web site info is provided with the paperwork, so I had to find them on my own. I will never buy from this company again. I had to send the unit back to Amazon for a refund because I couldn't get Tech help before my time ran out for a return.
Summary: The manual is overly cautious and confusing. However, on the second attempt to set up this AP, I just plugged in the AT&T Sierra Wireless USB modem, took "default" settings, and it simply worked perfectly. It has been up and running for about 3 hours, and surfing from two computers at the same time is as good or better than any WiFi hotspot I have used. The firewall and router configuration for this AP provides some complex and professional quality features.
Summary: This router works as described, but I found it a bit confusing to follow the suggested security set-up method described in its instructions. In fact had to ignore the suggested security set-up and do it in the initial set-up rather than later as suggested. I think there may have been something lost in the translation of instructions into English. However, that was the only glitch in the set-up. I am a bit disappointed in the range. It will not reach all rooms of home.
Summary: After a lengthy phone call to tech support, it was suggested that I return the "diffective product". My 3G usb card was on their list of approved internet cards, but it would not work. I have sense found a wireless router for less that $100 that worked right away. At least Wal-Mart's return pollicy was excellant. (DON'T FORGET YOUR RECEIPT!
