Summary: I use these routers as MOCA devices which is native to Verizon / FIOS. Basically this is to get a stable ethernet connection when your WIFI isn't up to the task. You need a 2 of these to setup the MOCA to share your network/internet and since they have 4 eithernet ports they are ideal for a media center setup needing multiple ethernet connections.
I would recommend this router for MoCa connectivity

Summary: This is the fourth router I added to my home network, which completes the switch from Ethernet-over-Power-Line to MoCa (Ethernet over coaxial cable). I am very happy with the ease of configuring the network using these routers, their performance and reliability. Three of the four routers are configured to provide seamless WiFi coverage throughout the home, while the last one is being used to provide Internet to the home video center (in the basement, so WiFi is not...
Summary: It took me a little while to figure that this router did not work from the beginning. I was trying to get it to work as a secondary router, and after trying that many ways and times, I finally decided to try it as a stand alone. It still did not work. I emailed the company I got it from, and they never responded. Very unhappy with my purchase.
Summary: I have Verizon FIOS already; the older versionis the 100Mbps speed version. This latest version is rated at 1Gbps speed. I could see the speed on my gigabit configured home network with 20 plus network devices on it improve immediately. I purchased it at a great price too!
Excerpt: I signed up for Verizon's FiOS fiber-optic service two years ago. Near the end of the installation, the technician pulled out a wireless router that connected to the FiOS service and would take the place of my existing wireless router. I was dubious about this new piece of gear, since I got pretty good service from my own router. However, this new router was required for FiOS service, so I didn't have a choice.
Excerpt: I would do anything to replace this router.. this thing is an utter piece of garbage. If you look at any forum anywhere where people have FIOS internet and TV you'll see them dying to go to any lengths to eliminate the use of this router. Unfortunately you need this router to use get the Verizon FIOS supplied Guide (or an older Verizon FIOS router). The main problem with this router is the built in NAT tables.
Works great have had not problems with overall performance.

Excerpt: This is my second router from Verizon of this type. The first one just went bad and they replaced it for me. I would say that the overall perfromance is consistant and secure. Any one that has logged on to use has been impressed. THe Actiontec router is a very good product overall.
Summary: Because these come free with Verizon service, these routers, which Verizon sells for $150 (or something), are easily available for less than $30. I have bought two for personal use, and they both have performed well. The router has more functionality than I know how to use, and is pretty easy to configure, compared with the few other routers I have dealt with.
Summary: I bought this router so we could expand our internet coverage in a separate building (where we already had Verizon FIOS TV service). The result was amazing. We have utterly reliable internet service there without the need to worry about extenders.
