Excerpt: Replaced a "free" Bushnell which came on a Savage .17 because the paralax in the Bushnell was excessive at both 25 and 100 yds. Found the Simmons to be clear and poi did not move with power adjustment. Only neg. is the windage nob had "U" and "D" instead of "L" and "R", so I had to learn by trial and error that counterclockwise moves the poi to the right. Scope was built in China.
Excerpt: I bought this scope for my son's .22 while the scope was on sale. My son used the scope to move from plinking spinner targets at 25-30yds off iron sights to consistently hitting at 50+. Several of his friends (new to shooting) could hit the larger spinners immediately and within 10-15 shots began hitting the half dollar size target. The parallax is set on this scope for 100yds. Focusing the reticle and target begins to be problematic under 50yds.
