Summary: Yeah, it is a great rice cooker. It has multiple settings for any kind of rice, and the bowl is well marked and easy to read. I have only used the white rice setting, but it cooks that perfectly. The only problem is that it plays an annoying song when it starts and finishes, but it really doesn't matter much.
Summary: Quite pleased with it so far. It is different from the less expensive $20.00 cookers. Read the instructions and invest in quality rice. Frankly, if one is buying a Zojirushi, then one is beyond the parboiled/boil-in-a-bag rice cooking. Placing the cooker under cabinets is not advised as the steam is intense (albeit silent) and caused condensation on the wood work which will drip back onto the cooker.
Summary: I have an old zojirushi rice cooker which lasted for more than 10 years. Time to get a new one and I found this while searching for rice cooker on amazon. The look and style is nice and plays short music turning it on and when cooking is done. My old rice cooker, when the light set to keep warm, do not open it for about 15-20 mins. because the rice is still not ready to eat but not this one. Once it's done cooking, rice is ready to eat.
Summary: I have had several rice cookers, and this is my favorite. It has fuzzy logic, which means it cooks rice perfectly! With just the two of us at home this is the perfect size (rice freezes very well). It has a pleasant tune that plays when you turn it on and when the cooking cycle is done (you can turn that tune off if you prefer). You simply can't beat Zojirushi!
great product but I do not follow the instructions provided

Summary: This cooker does exactly what I want it to. I was put off by the price at first but all the other positive reviews convinced me to ignore that and now, after a year of use, I'm glad I did. Here are the useful points of my experience I feel I should share. First, I do not follow the instructions regarding water volume because the results were not good.

Summary: I received this as a gift from my wife last Christmas. I'd always wanted a rice cooker but had never used one - they just seemed like a great way for a lazy guy like me to make food. Since opening it, I think it's fair to say that it's been used nearly every day to make something - rice, steel-cut oatmeal, and other dishes. If you think these are only for rice, you're mistaken. However, specifically when it comes to rice, these are amazing.
Summary: For the past few years, I have been using a cheap "off-on" rice cooker. Though I love having properly cooked rice, I hate having it boil over every time I use it. I bought THIS rice cooker with the understanding that it would do a good job of cooking rice (and other whole grains, porridge, polenta, and a lot more), while not boiling over. All of this is true, only the rice is cooked even better with this rice cooker. I live at 6200 feet above sea level.
Summary: Had this rice cooker for two years. It recently died. I found the problematic part that needs to be replaced, but can not get replacement part from either manufacture or their service centers. Talked to them several time without finding any solution. Bad customer service and low quality product !
