Summary: This rice cooker is just the right size for my husband and I. I would have given it 5 stars if the cord was retractable and if there was something to catch the water which collects under the lid from the steam. Other than those 2 issues, I'm very pleased with the cooker.
Summary: I use this rice cooker almost daily. I live alone and I like to make a small portion of rice so there is no overeating and no waste. This rice cooker will perfectly cook as little as 1/4 cup of dry rice! I'm amazed! This is the first rice cooker I have ever owned that will do that. I cook stews and soups on the "porridge" setting too. Small seeds such as quinoa and buckwheat will cook on the "quick cook? setting. Don't be put off by the price. It's worth every penny!

Summary: Highly recommend this cooker, I like it a lot, it a small one, but so well functional and nice designed. 3-cup could feed a family of three for one cook. For me and my boyfriend, we cook 2-cup(uncooked) and is enough~ love it so much~ My friend told me their professor have been owning one of the same brand for 10 years and it still cooks perfect.
Summary: I say "Japanese" because Zojirushi is a Japanese company, but I'm not actually positive this particular model was designed by the Japanese branch. At any rate, this rice cooker is top-notch at a great price. We use this several times a week, and the rice (we typically cook short or medium grain) comes out delicious every time. And this 3-cup cooker is small enough and aesthetically well-designed, so we always keep it on the counter.
Summary: Liquid comes out every time when I am making porridge. I'm sure that I didn't over add water, but it happens every time. I'm wondering if the one I got is defective. I would like to return this product, but the time for returning is passed.
Summary: I bought this rice maker to replace my 5.5 cup maker (which was awesome but lost in the divorce) This model makes a mess...unlike the larger, previous model...and excretes a substance out the back and all over the counter. However, it really does make the best rice and I used it daily for steel cut oats. It lasted a year and a half then died; the screen is blank and the buttons do not respond. I gave it a low score because it didn't last.
Summary: We bought this many months ago and almost use it daily. We use it for brown rice and I never knew brown rice could taste like this. It does take a long time to cook rice but I think that is because its working rice magic. Design wise its a little futuristic merged with a little hello kitty.
Summary: I gave this to my mom who was on a restricted diet and basically restricted to rice for 3 solid months. She gushes about this rice cooker. I wish I could write a more thorough review, but she mentions (frequently): ease of use, versatility (many types of rice can be used - more types than she knew existed), silent functioning and ease of cleaning. And we liked the price!
Summary: After using it for a couple of weeks, I really like this small rice cooker. We bought a bigger rice cooker from Target before this one, however it broke down after 4 weeks of usage,, so we hope a Japanese brand will be more durable. As we received the product, it printed "Made in China". So far so good, I don't know how long this one will last.
