Summary: I loved this rice cooker. It's a bit small but it cooked rice so nicely and it tasted really good. I unfortunately brought it to China with me and my sister plugged it in the wrong outlet so it got short circuited and died :( I wish I could buy it again but there seems to be no more available!
Summary: It's one of the best rice cookers out there! The moisture and taste of the rice makes all the difference when using this great rice cooker compared to the others. I still need to try to make bread in it though.
Summary: This is my favorite cooker.. ever. Want to make quick cornbread? Use this! Throw in some dough to make a wheat bread? Use this! Not only does this make easy breads but it makes delicious, healthy soups in a snap. I just throw together whatever I have lying around, some spices, veggie bullion and water. BAM! Easy lunch or dinner. I love this thing. It was worth every penny.
Summary: This is a "heads up" on this rice cooker and all Sanyo rice cookers. Mine lasted not quite 4 years. When I tried to have it repaired the problems began. The battery is attached to the circuit board, so the entire circuit board must be replaced. However, Panasonic just bought out Sanyo. The merger is in progress, so all service centers and parts for Sanyo rice cookers, at least this one, have ceased to exist.
Summary: This is an excellent cooker that performs just as I'd hoped a neuro-logic rice cooker would. I can put rice in the night before and have it *just finish* when my alarm goes off, I can make white rice, mixed rice, brown rice, or porridge, or do a quick cook (I use this one a lot...) and the rice is always perfect.
Summary: I decided to splurge and buy a nice rice cooker for myself. I only had a few 'must-haves:' a timer, so I could have dinner ready and waiting when I came home from work, and steel cut oats for breakfast when I woke up in the morning; and it should cook decent brown rice. I read lots of reviews and dithered for a week or two over whether to get a Zojirushi or a bigger Sanyo with more features like steaming.
Summary: I was looking for a medium size rice cooker, I had seen some zojirushi, expensive but with amazing ratings. But when I went to macy's so see it in real, it was so tiny... and even more expensive. Finally I chose this one, I haven't tried the bread baking option yet, I can't find the right baking powder around here...
