Summary: This is my second rice cooker, and my first with the soup/porridge option. Honestly, I love it. It gets used several times a month, and not only is it useful, it's also adorable. I got mine almost two years ago, and it's still one of my favorite appliances. I do suggest keeping the manual. Not only does it have instructions for cooking and cleaning, it also has recipes.
Summary: This does the job of cooking rice and I've had no performance problems with it. However, I am displeased with it for the following reasons: 1. The lid is not removable. It's on hinges, unlike my previous rice cooker, which had a fully removable lid. I find this is inconvenient because it means that in order to operate it, I have to pull it out from under the cabinet on my counter because otherwise the lid hits the cabinet when it opens, making it impossible to remove the...
Summary: I do not claim to be Mrs. Betty crocker....so don't let the title to this review impress you too much! The machine is simple and easy to use and every time I have used it my rice turned out very nice. I even strayed a little from one of it's recipe's and improvised and the rice with veggies and chicken broth were very good. I also made it about 4 hours before dinner and the warmer feature kept the rice warm and ready without overcooking or drying out!
Summary: I'm just a college student first off. Making 2 cups of rice is way more than I can eat in one sitting. This cooker however has a nice warm feature, that keeps the rice warm without burning a few hours later. The only complaint I have about is that, once when I used the congee feature, it actually started to bubble over a bit. The cleaning that resulted from that was a pain! Especially trying to clean the hinges or the crevices yikes!
Summary: Delivery was great, quality of the machine is fine. I've been cooking brown rice for years now so I know that it takes longer to cook than white rice. I made this purchase because of other reviews singing the praises of this rice cooker's ability to cook excellent brown rice, even though I already own a rice cooker (an Aroma ARC-900SB).
Summary: This is a wonderful rice cooker and I've really enjoyed using it since I purchased it in 2008. Unfortunately, the non-stick surface of the inner pot has begun to wear off and I have been unable to find a replacement. It seems absurd to have to discard the rice cooker because Sanyo does not make the inner pot replaceable but that seems to be the only option.
Summary: Trying to find a reasonably priced non stick rice cooker. Used for couple of months, rice is good and no spill, the non stick coating holding up quite well. It will take longer to see if the non stick coating going to last.
