Summary: I was very happy with my rice cooker that I bought 03/11. Today I noticed that the inner pot is peeling off and make unsafe to cook in it. I used it 3 to 4 times per week with 3 months vacation (my rice cooker got packed for moving). That means I was able to used it for just 10 month. Today I was reading the reviews and nobody could find the replacement part. I tried to do it without luck. THEY INNER POT REPLACEMENT PART IS DISCONTINUED!!!
Summary: I've owned this rice cooker/ slow cooker for over two years now. It is my go to appliance for everything. I use it to cook rice (brown and white), cook beans, steam vegetables, and steam (hard boil) eggs. I've never tried using it for making tofu. I really like that it comes with a rice bowl and inner lid AND another bowl and inner lid for slow cooking/ steaming.
I am very impressed and happy with this rice cooker

Summary: When I worked in Japan I became very familiar with the omnipresent rice cooker. It seemed like every home, office or business had one somewhere, keeping rice warm for breakfast, lunch or even a snack. Some of them were of the simple type, just having an on/off and "warm" switch. More off than not, they were more like this model and the Zojirushi, computerized and versatile.
Summary: This is my first rice cooker and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works. I use it mostly for brown rice and it makes great rice every time. The bowl is very easy to clean, very non-stick. I'm glad I decided to spend a little more.
Summary: We've had about three weeks to live with this unit, and I've concluded it was the correct choice for us. We had an excellent Tiger rice cooker, which was great when the kids were growing up, but is much too large for our needs now. Likewise, we have an old Rival slow cooker, but wanted something with more control. At first, I was fixed on the Zojirushi rice cookers, because of our experience with their other appliances and their enviable reputation.
Summary: I got my fiancé this as a birthday gift about two years ago and to this day she says it's the best gift I ever gave her. It makes perfect, different variations of rice. It keeps rice fresh for a couple days and the auto cook timer is a huge plus. I diligently looked at reviews for weeks before deciding on this rice cooker and it was a great decision. It has been used as a rice cooker, slow cooker and steamer and it excels at all of them.
Summary: I love this rice cooker! I make a lot of rice - usually white, brown, and mixed. I could never get the brown & mixed grain rice cooked right in my old-style rice cooker. It's turned out perfectly every single time in the Sanyo! This cooker is very easy to use and the instructions that come with it are clear. The machine comes with two inner pots and two inner lids - one for rice & another for everything else. The rice pot is heavier than the everything-else pot.
Summary: Rice is something that is made at least once a week in my household. Previous to purchasing the Sanyo ECJ-HC55S rice cooker, I had a simple Oster rice cooker that did an adequate job. It only had a toggle switch that cooked the rice. It made pretty good white and brown rice, but there were also some issues with it. The bowl was lightweight and the non-stick coating was flaking off.
Summary: Bought this to replace our 10 year old rice cooker. Should have done it along time ago. This does great with all kinds of rice, I like the fact that you rinse the rice in the cooking container first, with the measuring system it makes it EZ to get just the right amount of water for the type of rice you're cooking. Timer function is great, I set it up for rice to be done in the AM, and drop it into my Mr Bento and it keeps everything hot until lunchtime at work.
