Summary: Purchased this rice cooker in April of 2013. At first, the rice came out extraordinarily perfect. It wasn't over cooked or under cooked, and would last for several days without becoming burnt or hard. We would eat rice almost every day, so this has seen quite a bit of use! There was one thing that made me "hmmm". There was a metal plate screwed into the plastic cover. It seemed to be covering something, but I couldn't tell what it was and didn't think much of it.
Summary: It was my first multi cooker in my life so some time I even afraid to touch it. But it was so easy to use! I do sushi, different soups, porridges and my favorite paella! And sometimes I bake some delicious pies in it.
Summary: There are many reviews about the SR-MS183 and I would suggest they all be read. What I found out as an owner is confusion comes about in the reviews by the rice cooker cup not being an 8 ounce cup. It is 180 ml. about 3/4 of a cup. I was worried that the minimum batch would be to large for 2 people but it has not been a problem. The procedure is to measure the rice using the included 180ml cup and then use the numbers on the inside of the crucible to measure the water.
Summary: This computer controlled fuzzy logic rice cooker performs very well on a consistent basis. Each variety of rice is cooked perfectly every time. This is the best rice maker ever. In my opinion, this is a necessary item. I recommend this rice cooker without reservation. I am so very pleased and grateful to own this intelligent rice maker.
Pros: Compact, Easy to use, Durable, Exceeded expectations, Convenient
Summary: I've had this now over a year and it is still going strong. I love it and use it several times a week. Mainly for rice and steel cut oatmeal. Love the setting for delayed start so that you can have your breakfast ready or whatever. Great feature. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.
