Summary: We have used a rice cooker for many years - our last one quit after doing a few tons of rice, so i chose this one to replace it. We have tried several batches of rice - different quantities - and it just does not measure up. It sometimes burns the rice, sometimes it sticks and it boils over every time. Next. Now I find out that I am past the Amazon return date - it will be given away most likely.
Rice cooker over boils the water and leaves countertops messy and not sufficient for 5.5 cup uncooked

Summary: We recently landed in US and we looked for good rice cooker in a medium range, the product title says 5.5-cup uncooked, however it's enough for max of 3-cup ( i.e 3 cup rice and 6 cup water ), also the bad thing is rice cooker over boils the water and leaves countertops messy, it's a pain for us to wait and watch the cooker until it's finish.
Summary: Our old rice cooker died after many years of reliable use and I just wanted a basic replacement. The wide world of modern kitchen appliances can be overwhelming, however. Many rice cookers can be overly sophisticated (wonder what "Fuzzy" rice tastes like) and stratospherically priced (I'd rather get an espresso machine). This unit has been perfect for us since having bought it years ago. It cooks rice like a charm with no programming required to operate.
