Just What I Needed

Summary: The capacity is for 20 cups COOKED rice, not raw. Also, the measurements are not US cup measurements so make sure you are using the included measuring cup to add your rice. I used 11 cups of long grain white rice and 11 cups of water and the rice cooked to perfection in the end. I wouldn't use more than 11 cups of raw, long grain white rice because once it was cooked, the rice hit the top of the lid.
Summary: This croaked after 6 months. You now have to fiddle with it to get it to the cook setting, although once you do, it does work. I'm surprised as I owned one before that worked beautifully for years.
Summary: It cooks just fine, but everything spews out all over the counter. It was a terrible mess. I had to continuously add liquid. The barbecued ribs did turn out delicious, but the cleanup was a problem.
Summary: I purchased this product to take on trip of 30 college students. Trying to feed a group that big always has me worried about not having enough food. This is a wonderful purchase because it provided a way to cook an additional side item with little stress. I have also used it to cook extra pasta for the group. I use it with jasmine rice and it is a hit.
Summary: I like this rice cooker with the steamer basket. I can make a small amount of rice or a lot. It cleans easily. Just remember to use less water than is recommended. I try to use 1/4 cup less for small amounts.
