Summary: I cook a lot of rice. This works great. I add a little EVOO to the bottom, swirl it around before adding the rice and it doesn't stick too bad. I even have used it for box rice too......quick and easy. I didn't want something with the teflon and was afraid to try the clay bc I am rough on things. But this is perfect. I even throw the lid and bowl in the dishwasher.Love this!
Summary: I bought this and then was out of town for 2 months and when I returned tried to use it for the first time but it did not work. Was unable to return it becasue the time for returns had expired. I am not very happy with this.
Summary: I bought this with Amazon Prime - I think they have the best return policy and customer service. I love this rice cooker! I love that it is made with non-reactive materials (the paperwork that comes with it confirms this) and of course the stainless steel pot which is very sturdy. We have made: brown rice, quinoa, lentils, steamed veggies, pasta and lentil soup. You could make much more with this too!
Summary: Wow... this rice cooker arrived in 3 days from date of purchase. I'm so pleased that I got this warehouse deal at $20 cheaper than the regular price !! I appreciate the steamer feature and the rice paddle, also. So far I've cooked quinoa and buckwheat in it and it came out perfect - no sticking on the bottom. (I add boiling water instead of cold after I rinse the grains, so the cooking time is cut in half). I'm very happy with this buy!
Summary: Great cooker. Am so happy it is BPA and teflon free. The rice sticks very little to the bottom and it is extremely easy to clean it off - just soak in water for a few mins and it comes off easily. The steamer is very easy to use and very handy. I am using this in Europe so I had to do a few tricks to make it work with electricity here, but it worked perfectly!
Summary: I love this rice cooker. Never had one before, and always had a hard time getting anything close to perfectly cooked rice on the stove. No such problems with this cooker! After reading the reviews and instructions, I have found that the best way to get perfectly cooked rice is to soak the rice, rinse the grains till the water is at least mostly clear (at first the starch makes it look like milk), and then use just slightly more water than is called for.
Summary: I got this rice cooker because it is stainless and because I "can cook" whole rice, but it takes more than four hours for cooking and the rice comes out raw and clumpy. Cooking whole rice in a regular stainless steel pot gives better rice and take just 45 minutes. If I can I would return this frustrating rice cooker.
Summary: I am so very happy with this cooker! I love the stainless steel bowls, the rice doesn't stick to it or burn. It cleans up easily and I have NOT had any problems with splatter or bubbling over or out of the vent hole in the lid. I have used all of the function buttons and there are no complaints. Very simple to use and cooks everything very nicely. I am cooking rice every other day so this is getting plenty of use.
Summary: We had an old rice cooker/steamer that had one button "cook" them popped to "warm" when done. It worked great for 6 years! but I wanted something I could do it all in! So far I have made tons of rice and made chicken and dumplings twice in it. It works so good that I am going to start using it to steam veggies for my 9 month old. I would buy this again.
Summary: i like this version much better than the old cookers. This version has a clear glass lid which can be cleaned easily. The older rice cookers had problems with cleaning the lid. Also, this version uses stainless steel, no plastic, for steaming and cooking.
