Worked well for about a year and now it takes forever to cook brown rice!

Summary: I don't use this rice cooker all that often, so I was surprised to find it taking so long to cook brown rice today. The heating element must be on the fritz. It took nearly 2-1/4 hours to cook 3 cups of uncooked brown rice, BUT I will say it was tastey!
Summary: Ive had this cooker for almost three years now. I eat a lot of rice and also use it to cook wheat berries (6 hours). Its used about 12 hours a week. I am writing this review hoping someone from the manufacturer will read it and consider re-designing the lid. It is of a completely moronic design. There is a dish shape to contain the condensed steam, which works fine, but the actual handle is in the way, preventing one to wipe the lid dry without awkward contortions.
Summary: Ok wow, this thing is amazing! I'm a college student with little time to spend preparing food (and rice is cheap) so I thought this was a perfect investment and I was right! Today I received it, cleaned everything, plugged it in, used the measurements of rice to water, hit the big button that said BROWN RICE, and then it was beeping later telling me it was done. When I opened the top I could barely believe my eyes, PERFECT FREAKIN' RICE.
Summary: I like to eat rice and so I bought this rice cooker. Like what other people mentioned, it takes around 30~40 mins for me to cook the white rice. It will be faster if you soak the rice before cooking. I am alone so that rick cooker is a little bit big for me. I never cook the brown rice so no comments on that. In overall, I am satisfied with this rice cooker. It is user-friendly and can cook the white rice well.
Summary: Excellent rice cooker - I've owned 2 aroma rice cookers now & they're both great. This one has a truly non-stick pan, and the steam comes out of the spout gently, not spewing out like some do. This is a great buy for a good price. We use it 2-3 times a week, and are happy so far! Fluffy, perfect rice. I don't use the included measuring cup - I've learned over time that for every 1c. of dry rice, add 1 1/4 c. water, and it comes out perfectly!
Summary: The only complaint I have is that it takes 45 minutes to cook more than 3 cups of rice. The exterior cleans up nice and the pan is so easy to clean. I love the spoon "rest" on the side of the rice cooker. It beeps when your food is cooked and ready to enjoy.
Summary: After owning 2 cheap rice cookers that each lasted less than a year and were too small for my large family, I decided to try this model. It has worked out wonderfully! No matter what kind of rice I try, it turns out perfectly. There are several things that people should be prepared for, though, before they purchase this unit. I have noticed other reviewers have complained that their cooker is burning or browning the rice on the bottom.
