Summary: Cooks the best rice I have ever prepared. Easy instructions and with two buttons, power and kind of rice, it cooks rice perfect every time, no matter how much you are cooking. Also it works excellent as a steamer for vegetables. Haven't tried cooking a stew or soup in it yet. Easy cleanup. Wonderful product!
Summary: When our old rice maker stopped working, we looked for a new one. I spoke to some friends who I consider rice cooker experts about the headaches of my old machine (primarily rice sticking to the bottom of the pot). They told me the problem was not our old cooker but rather the amount of water we were using. Armed with this new knowledge we bought this cooker and voila, no more sticking rice. Not sure the cooker can really get the credit, but it does do its job well.
Summary: I have owned this rice cooker for a year and I recently switched. A lot of times the rice on the outside would become brown/crisp while the rice in the center is a bit too moist. Also once in awhile the rice would fail to cook even after I made sure the cook button was pressed. I switched to the Japanese brand Zojirushi NS-WAC10 Micom and cannot be happier (now I understand what they meant by fluffy rice!). You do get what you paid for.
Summary: I am very pleased. The rice cooks well and fast and the veggie steamer is a definite bonus. I would like to address a few negative points some users have pointed out. 1) Hot spots/rice browning: This cooker is a high volume cooker. I have found that the rice consistency differs easily if you are not careful about the water level. My old cooker was only 6 cup and i could go a quarter inch in water up or down and the rice came out OK either way.
Summary: The website said it was stainless steel, but it turns out this is only for the part that doesn't touch your food. The vegetable steamer basket is plastic. Do a Google search for "health concern cooking in plastic" and read a few articles before purchasing this item. I ended up purchasing Cuisinart CRC-400 4-Cup Rice Cooker which not only looks better, but has a steel basket for steaming vegetables. My kitchen decor and doctor thank it.

Summary: I bought this in jan 2010 and it still works great on april 2011. One trick I learned with this cooker (possibly any rice cooker) is to wait until the rice is ALMOST done (before the warm light comes on) open the lid and stir the rice up breaking up the rice on the bottom of the pot real good. Then close the lid and just unplug it and sit on the table (unplugged).
Summary: This is a sizeable cooker that cooks plenty of rice. We have a family of 5 & it cooks more than enough for our family & then some. We usually cook brown rice & it takes about 45" (less for white). It cleans up easily & is handsome w/the stainless steel exterior. It's a quality product at a reasonable price.
