Summary: This is my 3rrd Aroma rice cooker. The first one died after a number of years of hard use. I replaced it with one that was too small for my needs...though I love it for preparing oatmeal or heating a can of soup. Now I have one big enough to cook grains or soups and steam greens at the same time!
Summary: Bought it to use as a standby cooker and used just half a dozen times in little more than a year. It stopped working and called the company to be told that the warranty has expired. I have another Sanyo Cooker still going strong after 10 years of daily use. Not a reliable cooker.
Summary: this is a nice and simple rice cooker, i bought many other fancy ones and this one takes the cake. i think the other lids have temperature sensor build in, and the wire can rip easily. i faced that problem with too many cookers, this resolves the issue with no sensors on the lid, works for me!
Summary: I was looking for an aluminium/steel as I wanted to get rid of the non stick one which I had! This is exactly what I wanted. However, the steamer provided is not of good quality. It has begin to rust with the very first use, and I had to discard it, as I do not use it anyway!
Summary: I bought this rice cooker at the beginning of 2012. After almost one year, it is still working nicely.(I am a Chinese. So I eat rice almost everyday:)) And it is definitely enough for 2-3 people. I am only one person. Actually I can use a smaller one. Overall, this is a nice rice cooker.
Summary: we've been using this model for over 5 years, about 3-6x/week, and it still cooks great. i dunno what the others were whining about... i don't think they've ever cooked rice from a pot before. you WOULD expect to have steam and rice water bubbling about on the rim of the lid, that's how it makes a good rice. i'm about to get my own place and get a new rice cooker, and we want the exact same model just cause it works so well for a long time.
