Summary: This isn't the fanciest rice cooker out there, and it does splurp a little water here and there, but it has served us very well for several years now without fail. In the seemingly very unlikely event that it gives up the ghost at some point, we'll certainly buy another.
If you're buying a rice pot to actually cook rice, then this is the pot for you!

Summary: I live in south Louisiana. We cook and eat rice - a lot - with just about everything. I bought this pot to replace the Aroma pot that I previously had for 12 years. 12 wonderful years of cooking rice at least twice a week with nary a problem!
Summary: Works like our original rice cooker we had for 20 years. It is smaller (overall - not the amount of rice) and cooks rice faster than the bigger enclosed digital cooker. You just clean the pot by hand. Soak it a little. Scrape out the rice and wash it.

Summary: I order a 20-cup rice cooker and received a 10 cup. The box it comes in said 20 cup but inside is a 10 cup. I order it because of the price and for a benefit but was very disappointed. The company has made no attempt to correct this situation.
Summary: This is my 3rrd Aroma rice cooker. The first one died after a number of years of hard use. I replaced it with one that was too small for my needs...though I love it for preparing oatmeal or heating a can of soup. Now I have one big enough to cook grains or soups and steam greens at the same time!
Summary: Bought it to use as a standby cooker and used just half a dozen times in little more than a year. It stopped working and called the company to be told that the warranty has expired. I have another Sanyo Cooker still going strong after 10 years of daily use. Not a reliable cooker.
Summary: this is a nice and simple rice cooker, i bought many other fancy ones and this one takes the cake. i think the other lids have temperature sensor build in, and the wire can rip easily. i faced that problem with too many cookers, this resolves the issue with no sensors on the lid, works for me!
