Rice Cooker

P. Martinez, Amazon
19 June 2010
  • Summary: I bought this rice cooker from Target for $15. I've had it for a few months now and it works great and cooks the rice easily. The rice comes out really good and it is easy to use. You can cook vegetables at the same time.

Untimely death, NO customer service

S. Zipper, Amazon
18 June 2010
  • Summary: Bought this rice cooker a bit over a year ago relying on mainly good reviews and the fact we didn't want to spend much. We should have saved our money. The unit has simply stopped working. Attempts to get a reply from Aroma customer service have failed.

My 1st rice cooker - Love it!

K. Brazzy, Amazon
18 June 2010
  • Summary: I have never had a rice cooker and I can not cook real rice at all. This is an awesome cooker- $22 at Sears. Anyway pour in water and rice and turn on and walk away. About 18 min later you have perfect rice like Peking down the street!

Very Bad Non-stick Layer

Zijing Zhao, Amazon
18 June 2010
  • Summary: I have been using this red rice cooker for less than 4 months and now it is completely unusable. I know how to gently clean a non-stick thing but this one is driving me crazy. The non-stick layer just keeps falling off, especially at the bottom.

Pleased at first...

Marcus Aurelius, Amazon
18 June 2010
  • Summary: I owned this little rice cooker for less than a year, and was pleased at first. It cooked rice beautifully, and was easy to clean. I especially liked the sturdy spoon/spatula included with the cooker, which I've put to use in other cooking duties.

Be alert

Cayo, Amazon
18 June 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this cooker last July and regret not looking into a new Hitachi to replace the old one which lasted over 14 years (do they still make them?). Unlike my Hitachi, this Chinese made "beauty" MUST be unplugged once it stops cooking, otherwise it'll burn the rice at the bottom, and better...

Not bad for the price, but not built to last either

Eric, Amazon
17 June 2010
  • Summary: This is a good value rice cooker. I think I bought mine at Target, but I've had it for 5+ years now & I may have gotten mine somewhere else. If you just want something basic, it does a good job at cooking rice and keeping it warm.
