Excerpt: Bought this to film video with my Sony A6000. I don't have to fumble in the dark any more trying to turn the camera on and off or to start and stop the video function. My only regret is that the cable isn't a little longer so the unit could rest on my lap but for what it does I can live with that inconvenience.
Excerpt: The remote control is worth the price or more because it has full functions (power on/off, half shutter press, full shutter press, zoom in/out and video record). It even works for older Sony camera. Clipped on a tripod, I got extreme steady shots for very sharp photos. No battery is required. I'm waiting for full moon to try out the 50x shots of the moon. I was also able to "hack" into it to add wireless function and to use intervalometer.
Excerpt: Bought this for my SONY a6000. It is very well made, simple to use and responsive. Works with 'braketing' mode (hold to shoot multiple exposures). Cord is the right length (not too long and not too short).
Excerpt: With RX10, I had high hope for wifi remote, but it turns out too basic and only works for photo. So, I bought RM-VPR1. Only used for video recording and it works well. I could sit next to tripod mounted RX10 and using the remote to zoom in and out, start and stop recording. Best feature I discovered was the power on/off button. Once the power of RX10 was on I can turn off or back on using the power button from the remote.
Excerpt: I use this with my Sony HX300. Many reviews state that this will not work with the Sony HX300, or that it has problems. Well it works just great for me. Taking HDR photos on a tripod with up to 7 exposure levels, its very hard to not move the camera without a remote. This has worked perfectly on all functions.
