Summary: I bought this remote for my girlfriend, who recently acquired a Samsung TV and Sony blu ray player. The Samsung's remote was lost in a move, so we needed a good universal remote to control it. I figured that I could kill two birds with one stone if I bought a Sony remote and program both her TV and her blu ray player. Make sense, right?

Summary: if you are technically minded, you can handle the hurdles this presents. If you are not technically minded, you will throw this Sony remote against the wall in the first night. I think I got this delivered for $25 bucks and I got what I paid for. It works, sort of. I knew ahead of time my SAT box and my Blu-ray would not get automatic programming. I figured I would just do the teaching of each button route for those two devices.
Summary: This remote worked on an older Sylvania TV. I bought mine refurbished so I was a little concerned that it wouldn't work. Not the case. Works fine. Does what it's supposed. Doesn't come with batteries. The setup took 5 seconds, 10 if you count putting in AA batteries.
Summary: We recently bought a Sony KDL40W5100 for use in our bedroom. Nice TV, however there is NOT a dedicated sleep timer button... bummer. I saw this remote on Sony & Amazon sites. It has a sleep timer and also has been programed to run basic functions on the DISH 722K DVR. The remote is a bit bulky, but priced right & does the job requested.
Summary: Tried it with my DVD player, Onkyo receiver, JVC TV, and Panasonic TV. New batteries. Nothing worked. No indication as to why or if it's trying. Throwing it away. Love the part of the manual "Be patient as you do this, it may take about 100 tries until the correct code number is located"... Great stuff.
Summary: I bought this as a replacement remote for my tv. I have wouldn't get this because personally I think it's overprice and doesn't work very well. The remote itself is big and bulky and it won't let you work the Menu function on your TV. I got the OneForAll 3021 Universal Remote for less and it works WAY better with better reviews. Get that.
Summary: I bought it 2 month ago. Very satisfied with my purchase. I found it through lsdeal.com It took me 15 min to setup tv, dvd player and audio system. The only problem is that for audio system to change tracks I need to use CD mode and to change the volume I need to use AMP mode. In any case I will never use non universal control again.
