Question: Will it work on my Optoma HD72 Projector

My father-in-law is offering to give me one of his SRU8112 remotes. The remote on my Optoma HD72 (which works on HD72,73, and 6800 optoma projectors) died. How can I find out if the Phillips SRU8112 will work on my projector? Again the old one died, and doubt I can do any training..
