Fantastic Remote for a Great Price
Summary: I was a bit skeptical of this remote, as I wasn't sure that it would work with my newer 2nd generation Xbox. Straight out of the box (after removing the plastic around the included batteries and installing them), this remote just works. It works with Netflix, Youtube, the System Video and Music Players, and even the Xbox Menus. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this product is such an amazing value. Highly recommended.
Summary: Got this for my son with some of his birthday stuff. He likes watching Netflix and Amazon movies from his bed but was complaining that using the regular controller for this is a pain because every time he wanted to change settings or pause, the controller would be in sleep mode and he would have to wake it up and he would miss his pause spot. Also the constant waking and sleeping of his controller was killing the battery prematurely.
Summary: I was a little concerned to get this because it doesn't have the green XBMC button. I set my xbox 360 to automatically turn on the media center when you turn it on, and have no need for the button. :) The buttons are more responsive than the old white xbox remote. Very pleased for the price. One thing I did have to do when programming it was do a Google search for the programming code. Once I found it, it programmed quickly. I no longer use my TV remote control.
A must if you are a movie / video watcher on the Xbox.

Summary: This thing has been a great addition! I no longer have to wait for a controller to turn on to pause or control playback of videos. I no longer have to go thru so many batteries (which has saved money) because the controller is turned on all the time while watching Netflix. Drawbacks: I use a receiver for sound/video with the Xbox, and I am disappointed the volume can not be programmed for anything other than the TV sound/control.
Summary: The remote works well with the TV and it was easy to program. The problem was with the XBOX and the instructions do not specify it. You need to go into the settings, controller options and enable it to be controlled by a media remote. I had to search to find this out, I almost returned the remote thinking it was bad.
Summary: I convinced my parents to buy this remote for themselves (mainly for watching Netflix), since the regular thumb-pad controller confuses them quite a bit. they instantly fell in love with it. feels like you know how to use it as soon as you grab it because the buttons are similar to what you use when turning on your TV.
Summary: I can't believe I went this long without this remote. I use my xBox for Netflix, Xfinity, Amazon Prime, etc. This remote is so much easier and I no longer have to deal with my xBox controller. It handles basic television functions and I have to get creative with the buttons sometimes. This product should come with every console. Keep in mind, this is not for the xBox One.
