Summary: I've had this device 3 days and overall impression it is not worth the $$$. First, does not work with my PS3 out of the box, you need to spend extra, so keeping my PS3 remote. Second, it works great with my Bell 9241 PVR, that's until I tried to access my PVR functions. The DVR button didn't work... So tried using the teach function between PVR remote and Touch... dismal failure. So now I'm keeping my Bell remote which also happens to power my Denon receiver.
Summary: Don't buy this remote. It is overpriced and extremely awkward to use. It is very counter intuitive to use. Very inconvenient and difficult to use. I would rather use my other remotes and swap around than use this. The harmony 650 was much friendlier to use. Buy another remote!
Summary: The Logitech Harmony Touch remote is not well designed in my opinion. The touch screen is too difficult to use, and the proximity of the 'off' button to the 'rewind' button causes no end of frustration. I would not recommend this remote control.
Summary: I had my previous Logitech Remote die after 5 years and got this on Boxing Day. After multiple syncing to get things just right, the remove would not always work. You need to point at the machines precisely, which is annoying. Also, half of the buttons that are on the real remote do not work on this remote. You can try to solve this by editing and repairing certain button options, but thats when things failed.
Summary: Online website for setting up the remote is constantly crashing .. multiple sync issues that are a true nightmare ... IR power is very weak.. you basically need to be 2 -3 feet from the device you need to control .. the design is very poor . Logitech online support is not good... I have waited 45 minutes online without being able to talk to any agent I can honestly say that this is the worst purchase I have made in years....
Summary: Pros: Allows you to automate turn-on and set TV, Sat, Amp etc Just touch "Watch TV" then "BBC1" and all is turned on and set for you. To program it, you simply have to select your tv/ampl/sat/dvd etc, and sync via your PC. Cons: The PC software is almost useless. There is a website where all your settings are stored, and the remote syncs to this. to make it sync you have to reset the remote, reboot your computer, reset the remote again..eventually it will start to sync.
Pros: simplifies a basic av set up , handy charging stand
Cons: unuseable , unflexible , extemeley frustrating to program
Summary: Delivery from Richer Sounds was exceptionally quick, that's the good bit over with.. After numerous attempts could not get the software to install with either Google Chrome or Firefox web browsers. The 'Help' was useless, basically uninstall the software and start again. Finally tried Internet Explorer and it installed no problem.. Then the computer didn't recognise the device - turns out the supplied usb cable must have been faulty.
Summary: The Harmony Touch is touted as an easy to use universal. It is not. I purchased this to make it easier for my mother to be able to switch between TV and DVD. I knew as soon as I had troubles making it do what it was supposed to that she would be frustrated. I frequently had to re-touch the screen several times to get it to do what I wanted. Even simple things like changing channels was not always accomplished with the first touch.
