It's nice while it works

Summary: I purchased this remote in 2009. It has worked great up until a few days ago when 6 of the 8 buttons next to the LCD screen stopped working. These buttons are very important since they control the "activities" functions that turn on and set up your components for pre-programmed activities.
Summary: i think this remote is good but overpriced for what you get. The RF functionality is great.. but i have used it for 6 months and the volume buttons are broken. The build quality of the buttons feel somewhat weak.. and it showed that the volume does not work anymore.
Summary: I've had this remote for well over a year now and still love it. The only negative comments would be these: - The software to program the remote is slow and poorly designed. I could easily live with one or the other, but together, it makes programming changes a hassle.
Summary: For me very long configuration but EASY AND after all work very well, the intuitive help is usefull, the only remote than my wife will success to use for all my complicate installation, (satelite, home theater, sharp lcd, computer, condtioner air)
The best remote on the market (if you need it's functionality)

Summary: This is a great product....if you know what you are trying to accomplish. If you wish to control equipment in one room and do not require any of the wireless functions, then the Harmony ONE is a much better choice (great ergonomics, beautiful touch screen).
Summary: The 890 Pro is set up for professional installers setting up a number of systems in the same area (maybe in a store or showroom). For a home installation, the 890 is the better bet. My system has a projector, a DirecTV DVR, a BluRay player, a sound system, and a controller for the lights.
