Summary: The European and US model are all the same except for the 4 color buttons that are used in Europe and replaced by a "down/up" button for the US model (check the pictures). both work on each side of the ocean, no problem that side
Pros: Manages all imaginable devices and is really good looking. Good grip and nice led illumination.
Cons: software is somewhat unefficient, and you will have to spend a very long time configuring your activities (the library is not always correct - still have some buttons not working properly after 2 weeks configuration)
Summary: Thanks to Newegg's images I can see at least one difference between the 885 (which Logitech says is aimed at the European Market) and the 880 (aimed at the US market). Pros: May finally replace all of my individual remote controls. Excellent price for this capability.
Cons: Could use more information on the differences between the 880 and 885 and whether the 885 works in the US and whether the 880 works in Europe. Manuals are not available online so it is difficult to evaluate before purchasing the unit.
Summary: NewEgg was excellent as always! The remote is the same as the Harmony 880. I'm not really sure why there is such a large cost difference. If you can get over the plain brown box, this is the way to go.
