Summary: Its wonderful. And not difficult. There is some negative comments about the button configuration, which I can understand, but i decently sized guy 6 ft, 210 lbs, and I really dont have many problems pressing the buttons here.
Pros: Just great! It does everything with the touch of a button. If I want to turn on my TV and direct tv satallite box and my onkyo audio AV reciever at the same time, all in there correct settings, I just touch one button. If I decide I want to switch to DVD, I press one button and it changes my tv i...
Cons: No cons for me. I could understand how the software might be a little confusing at first for some, espcially with the cheaper electronics like my insignia required some manual adjustment on the software. This is really it though, not a con really, it didnt take long to figure it out.
Pros: I own two of these remotes. One I've had for over 5 years and about 3 for the other. Easy to program, easy to use, easy for the wife to understand. Sure, the newer remotes may offer more bells and whistles, but I prefer this model over any of the newer Logitech remotes.
Cons: The screen cracked after a 4 foot fall but that's to be expected when it hit ceramic tile, I guess.
Summary: I've been looking for a remote that will handle all of my devices. This is the first one I've seen that controls my Buffalo Link Theater media player.
Pros: This is a great remote and is very easy to program. As with all products of this type there is some trial and error involved however it's really easy this way.
Cons: The only bad thing about the remote is it runs through batteries quickly. All of the buttons and the led screen light up when using it and it drains the 2 aaa batteries in only a couple of weeks of use.
Pros: ease of programing, ability to control all function of devices not just some like most universal remotes.makes it easy for anyone to use your entertainment system.great for the none techies to.i am very pleased and am ordering one for my parents who dont watch there dvds much because they hate try...
Summary: Tried a lesser model first but needed PVR keys for a replayTV DVR among other components. It is the best we've had so far, but this is my first logitech remote.
Pros: Very nice having the computer-based programming. Good range/fairly wide angle right/left but seems fickle in the vertical. When it doesn't work right, really nice help button and walks through the fix! Superb idea.
Cons: Buttons still a tad small. Not all keys readable using the backlight. Key arrangement not that ergonomically pleasing to me.
Summary: My wife is amazed at how easy it is to use our home theater now. She used to never use the system unless I was home. Now she uses it when I'm out of town. Every time I find something it's not set up to do, I can go back to the computer and add the function. I love this remote!
Pros: The initial setup is very easy, and will allow someone who doesn't understand how your system works to operate it. It's pretty increadible. If you are willing to commit the time, you can customize the setup and get it to control your system in depth.
Cons: To really get it where you can easily use it for all in depth functions will take some time, and numerous trips back to the computer (where it is programed). You really have to understand how everything works to get the higher functions together.
Summary: Like the reviewer below me, i couldnt get my menu based input on my tv to properly change. I contacted technical support and the problem was fixed within half an hour. Not only that, but the tech guy did it all remotely and i simply downloaded the updated controller configurations from within my...
Pros: This remote is excellent. The interface is intuitive and well designed and the software (though not the fastest) is also very nice. Logitech's customer support is A++ (see other thoughts).
Cons: Small buttons + fat fingers = small issue, but nothing serious enough to detract from this fabulous remote.
Pros: This is the best remote I've ever owned. This is the second one of these I have purchased. One in the home theater, and one in the bedroom. Now my wife pushes the same buttons for a given action, and doesn't need to know what is going on behind the scenes, even though my two systems are vastly di...
Cons: The buttons are way to small. A ham fisted guy like me is always inadvertantly pushing the wrong button.
