Easy to program and controls multiple devices

hoppertd, CNET
4 February 2014
  • Summary: Even after going through 3 Logitech's because of the cheap buttons that wear out, till today, I would recommend this remote. I bought a new TV and Logitech decided that my remote could no longer support 6 devices today.
  • Pros: Easy to program and controls multiple devices
  • Cons: Buttons are cheap and wear out, Logitech downgraded this model to 5 devices from the 6 it originally supported.

Terrible

RL, reviews.logitech.com
16 January 2014
  • Summary: This thing would only control all three devices about 80% of the time. Constantly having to get up and make changes manually. Constant source of frustration. And it eats batteries like candy. I will not have another one.

5 Device Limit; Really?

JasonR, reviews.logitech.com
30 December 2013
  • Summary: I bought this remote today to replace my old 670 which I found hard to read in low light conditions. I love everything about it except I can't use it and forced to return it. It has very stingy and likely arbitrary 5 device limit.

Unusable due to poor software support

Ashutosh G., Newegg
13 December 2013
  • Summary: This is mainly a review of the software without which no Harmony remote can be programmed. I had three working remotes. Adding a new device required connecting one to Logitech servers. This bricked a perfectly working remote. 3 representatives were unable to help.
  • Pros: Fine remote
  • Cons: It is just a paperweight without working software

User Review

Suzanna M., Newegg
7 December 2013
  • Summary: After a few months of rather limited use (mostly when we used our Xbox to watch videos or the other remote was lost) this remote died. Sent it in to be serviced and the unit was found to be defective.
  • Pros: Easy to use, reduces clutter
  • Cons: Hard to set up, doesn't last

Zero Linux Support and Sliverlight

Anonymous, Newegg
7 December 2013
  • Pros: N/A
  • Cons: If you're a Linux user, you better have a Virtual Box with at least XP, Firefox and Sliverlight. New users can't use the Harmony software to program the 650 unless you already own a 650.

In a word, JUNK.

BSDi386, CNET
19 November 2013
  • Summary: Buy something else and save yourself the frustration.
  • Pros: None that I could honestly find.
  • Cons: It simply doesn't do what you programme it to do. It doesn't learn anything either.
