Like it better than my 650

Eric P., Newegg
26 September 2012
  • Summary: I've shown and bout this for 3 other friends who have told me how much they love it. It's really a nice device to have that you know for a fact is going to work. If your unsure you can go to their website and search for your devices in advanced to be sure.
  • Pros: Logitech is just awesome, i bought this got it, hooked it up to my pc, logged into their site and added the devices i needed to control. Hit up load and bam worked great. I was able to customize some button to my liking and even my wife love the remote. I bought a 650 the one that has a little sc...

Controls W7 media center

Patrick D., Newegg
24 May 2012
  • Summary: The remote lasted about a year and 4 months . The way I beat it up though that is not that bad.
  • Pros: Ease of programming Amount of buttons and location of buttons Harmony remotes can control my w7 mce and any other dvr
  • Cons: The button I used the most , up and down channel wore out after about 9 months. That may not be a huge con because I am the biggest channel surfer ever. I mean I abuse these buttons so no negative eggs for that. ( I wore out the last remote in the same way). I have the AVS Gear GP-IR01BK as my mc...

Harmony 300i and Mac OS X Lion

TIm R., Newegg
12 April 2012
  • Summary: I've seen a lot of negative feedback regarding the programmability of this remote using the MyHarmony site and Mac OS X Lion. I, too, initially had problems. But I was able to successfully program the 300i after downloading/installing the latest version of Microsoft's Silverlight and restarting my...
  • Pros: Works with my older Samsung CRT TV, Comcast DTA device, original Apple TV and Roku XD. Programmed using my Macbook running OS X 10.7.2
  • Cons: Considerably "simpler" compared to other Harmony remotes I have (880, 520). But that's expected for the price paid.

Best Remote Out For the Price!!!

Jeremy G., Newegg
1 April 2012
  • Pros: Easily programmed. Every function can be programmed or learned by this remote. Very cheap for 4 devices and the number of features it uses.
  • Cons: The online sync site will only allow you to have one of these remotes! We had to setup an account for my wife for the living room remote and one for me for our bedroom remote. Then again, we like it so much we bought two!

Not bad!

giangchau t., Newegg
12 January 2012
  • Summary: Does not know how to store extra commands from my 5th and 6th device. I still have to use 2 more remotes.
  • Pros: Can replace 4 old devices! 2ftas+dvr+tv!
  • Cons: Need to upgrade my Microsoft silverlight on my XP before I can use this device. I often drop my remote while I'm sleeping, so I don't know how long this will last.

Good remote for the price

Tanya C., Newegg
4 January 2012
  • Summary: Admittedly I have only used the device for a few hours so I can't speak to reliability and longevity of the product. Given the number of refurbs available for sale I have my concerns. As for the product itself, for $30 I can't complain. The features are somewhat limited but satisfy my needs.
  • Pros: Easy to set up and buttons are fairly well laid out. Set up took roughly 10 minutes which was mostly consumed by finding model numbers for the devices I use.
  • Cons: The myharmony.com website doesn't support chrome.

Better than a normal media center remote

Devon C., Newegg
27 July 2011
  • Summary: This replaced the other style of media center remotes (MS style). It's definitely better. Way better. No need for multiple remotes if you want to use this as a media center remote. Used to need the MC remote and a cable TV remote. Now just the 1 and life is so much easier. I love it.
  • Pros: You can reprogram just about any key to do whatever you want. It's amazing. Setup the remote to handle Media Center, Tuner, TV, and Cable all on 1 remote. Just amazing. Batteries last for a very long time because they keys don't light up. Remote isn't the best designed layout but for the money it...
  • Cons: Hate some of the button placements. For example the back button for media center is on the right side of the remote. Navigation/direction buttons are too small, OK button too small, volume controls too small. Remote is built for child sized fingers.

Very nice remote for what it is.

Matthew D., Newegg
30 June 2011
  • Summary: I bought mine refurbished as a shell shocker deal, but it looks like new and works perfectly.
  • Pros: The remote is laid out very nicely and supports thousands of devices. Software makes adding devices a breeze. Nice learning feature, plus you can change buttons to do different things if you don't like the presets. Highly recommended if you need a basic universal remote.
  • Cons: None so far. Not as feature rich and the more expensive models, I personally wish it supported more devices, but 4 is just right for me.

Perfect for HTPC.

Andrew N., Newegg
17 April 2011
  • Pros: I use this with my HTPC running XBMC. Configured it as a MCE keyboard, which is awesome. Button layout is very nice. The Harmony setup program for configuring the remote is great. Works with all my other devices. Is capable of learning commands if you need that feature. Very happy I bought this t...
  • Cons: I use this with a Rosewill IR receiver and there is just the slightest hint of lag. Poofyhairguy says use it with an HP receiver and it will be fine. No backlight.
