Summary: I own a Logitech Harmony remote which is digital, has a touch screen interface, and is pretty fancy but it's not really that intuitive for some people. It's suppose to be but for anyone who has family staying over, example is Logitech's own commercial where Grandpa was baby sitting. The Harmony remote may still be a bit too fancy since you can customize the buttons. You'll need to leave instructions as to what certain things do. With this remote it's pretty clear cut.
Summary: This universal remote was the easiest one I've ever set up. You go on their website, enter the model numbers of your equipment, and it downloads the information into the remote for you. You can easily through the software change any button you want into another action. It's a little heavy, but so easy to set up I can't complain. Highly recommended.

Summary: First, I'll admit that the online programming of this device was a little challenging for me. But then, I'm not particularly tech-savvy. But I took my time, and got it done in around an hour. That's a long time, I guess, but as I said, I took my time, just to be sure I was "doing it right". (Some techie types may be able to do it in 5 minutes for all I know!
Summary: When it has came down to Logitech, they definitely have made some great electronics for our everyday lives. That holds very well with their Harmony 200 Remote. The remote control is very simple and easy to operate, and works very well with just about anything from your TV, to your Blu-ray Player, or your cable. This is a simple remote control that is easy to setup with your computer, and works with just about any TV.
Summary: the good: It feels good in your hand - even more solid than our other Harmony remotes. [We have a 676 on its last legs due to failing buttons, a 670 with better quality buttons, and a 650 that is working swimmingly.] the bad: Initial programming was confusing. It didn't use our existing Harmony programming software. Instead, we had to use a different web-based program that still required a download.

Summary: It seems like every remote made these days is supposed to be a universal remote, but getting them programmed to control everything can be a real challenge. I don't have a complicated set up, only 3 devices, so you'd think it would be easier, but I was never able to get any other universal remote to control more than one or two functions on the TV and never the DVD player, making the so called universal remote not so universal.
Summary: The Harmony 200 Remote (for 3 devices) is s good addition for a small system such as a TV, Cable Box/DVR and DVD/Blu Ray player. You can control all 3 devices and put away your three factory remotes. It saves on space and clutter and gives you much more flexibility. Know that this is a BASIC learning remote, limited to three devices. It is the simplest Harmony currently in production and also the most limited in regards to functions.
