With just a trigger finger, user can enjoy easy, one-touch access to the home entertainment activities that has been set into the universal remote. With a simple touch of the touch screen the user is able to watch DVD, listen to songs, watch TV and even play games. The Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote is capable of replacing up to 15 remotes. The capability of the remote to replace other electronic devices reduces clutter and complexity in the living room. Users are also able to add favorite functions from an old remote just by pointing it at the Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote. Besides that, the 3.5 inch color touch screen allows users to navigate through all option with ease. The Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote also eliminates the worry of replacing batteries as the remote can be charged with the charging station included. With the help button included users are able to let the help button figure out what is wrong and how to troubleshoot their problems. In addition to that, the online wizard can be accessed just by plugging into a USB port and will walk users through the initial setup or during the addition of equipment. The Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote is compatible with over 175,000 devices from laser disc to Blu-Ray disc and the live customer support team is able to help users with any complications with the remote.

Throughout this review I’ve pointed out issues and areas of potential improvement for the Harmony, but it should be understood that these come from someone familiar and comfortable with the programming of advanced universal remote controls using tools that, while less restrictive and typically quicker to use, generally offer no guidance on how to do something or what to do next. The Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal remote is quite simply the closest most of us will ever come to the likes of Creston or AMX, and it is far easier to program than either. Its drop dead gorgeous looks, sleek lines and beautiful touch screen display will make it a focal point of any theater, while its ease of use and advanced help feature make it practical enough for the whole family to enjoy. Not worth the money

We purchased this item in December 2008. It is not worth the money. We have it programmed to turn on the TV, DVR and the AV receiver when we tap the "watch tv" function. 75% of the time it only turns on one of the 3 units. Same thing when we attempt to turn off all 3. It freezes up at least once a week and we have to go online to reset it. "After spending 500 dollars on this device I would expect better customer service than what I received from Logitech. My unit occasionaly ramps up the volume and channels after you release the button..ie you go from 0 volume to max in a matter of seconds! Same condition applies with the channel selector button. I contacted Logitech and they will not fix the unit. It is out of warranty and they have told me that they do not repair the 1000. So if it has any problems it is... Read more
