Excerpt: I use this remote for my OSHA safety classes, new hire orientations and various training classes. This remote is very easy to use and the layout of the controls are in the right spot. After my first use, I am already able to feel where each control button is and not have to look every time . The protective pouch is really nice and has a little side pocket on the inside for extra batteries.
Summary: This remote solved my Macbook Pro Retina remote problem immediately upon it's arrival. Within three minutes of opening the packaging, I was up and running without having to read any directions or install any software. It took me a few moments to learn how to manipulate the cursor on the screen, but after I did, all was well with the world.
Summary: Works well for us. Preacher uses this remote to advance his own slides during the sermon. We keep the receiver in the line of sight but sometimes the speaker doesn't hold the remote where the line of sight is unobstructed, yet it still works anyway (receiver is about 50' away). Batteries seem to last a good long time, but we do turn it off after each use. It's been about 2 months and first set of batteries are still in it.
Summary: I typically use a desktop USB extension (several available from Newegg) to locate the receiver in a line-of-sight location away from other equipment, usually placed on top of a podium or table.
Pros: Simple setup in Windows7, easy to use. I've presented in large and small rooms using many different devices and this remote is my favorite.
Cons: Range will depend on RF noise in the vicinity. Other 2.4Ghz devices in use may cause range issues (like some cordless phones.)
Summary: Owned a few remotes over the years, always seemed to be a problem with Mac OS X (whether the remote didn't work at all OR the remote worked only sporadically, losing connection from the remote to my laptop). For all of you Mac users out there, this remote works perfectly with Mac OS X 10.8.4 (most current version at the time I write this). THe range of this remote is terrific, 30-40 ft (I have not tested it at further distances) is not a problem.
Excerpt: Used to remotely advance presentation slides in a church environment. I've used the small button type pointer movers before and was not impressed. This unit IS impressive! The button does not make the pointer over react at all, it is nice and smooth. At first glance the online image can be misleading. It looks as if part of the unit sticks out the front - it doesn't, that shows the receiver coming out of its storage location in the remote. Small, light, and easy to use.
Pros: Durable construction, Easy To Operate, Strong Connection Points
