Good even for me

Andrew W., Newegg
20 October 2014
  • Summary: I was very happy with this, it works on both windows and linux. It also works with both MS PowerPoint and libreoffice with no difference between the two. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the packaging says that you can start a slide show by pressing the laser pointer button, which doesn't work.
  • Pros: Works with most ubuntu distros and windows computers.
  • Cons: The windows computer I tried it on wasn't hooked up to the internet so it didn't work until I put it online and did some updates. Couldn't get it to work on xubuntu.

  • Excerpt: The product functions exactly as expected. We utilize 10 of these in our classrooms. Occasionally one will break (I have had an average of one break per year I have worked here), but for the most part they function well.
  • Pros: Affordable, Durable, Easily Viewed, Lightweight, Uses Aas

Not flashy, but works well.

22 September 2014
  • Excerpt: No extra bells and whistles here, just a simple remote that can start, move forward, move backward, or hide your presentation. Start feature does not work with my MacBook, but does with my PC.
  • Pros: Easy to use, Lightweight

Great when it works

Yasheene C., Newegg
23 August 2014
  • Summary: I have had 2 and neither lasted for even a year. I bought the second one thinking it was fluke that the first broke but it lasted only 4 or 5 months too. I don't use them that often so felt they should have lasted, with batteries removed so they didn't corrode, for longer
  • Pros: size, ease of use
  • Cons: 2 didn't last

Pretty Good

Jon the Presenter, B&H Photo
17 June 2014
  • Excerpt: I purchased two of these remotes for use in our church building and they work pretty well. The only thing that I don't like about these is that the advertised distance of 60' is only if there is a direct line of sight. I had the computer sitting on a pew maybe 3 or 4 pews in front of me and the remote would not work. Other than that these are great. We have since positioned the transmitter in a higher place and it works very well.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Viewed, Lightweight, Long Lasting

Not as pleased with this one

Bruce S., Newegg
15 June 2014
  • Summary: I had to replace my previous one because the receiver disappeared. The laser of the new one, same model as the old, is hard to see in a classroom. Previous one was noticeably brighter.
  • Pros: Advances slides as expected. Works with LibreOffice as well as PowerPoint.
  • Cons: Weak laser.
