Summary: bought this unit december 2013. 3 months after purchase fans started make horrible noises. the unit was so loud it sounded like a 747 preparing for takeoff... after reporting it to Customer Service we exchanged emails on how to fix the problem. nothing worked. they finally sent out a new fan system and required me to replace it which i did. to no avail the unit make just at much noise now as before.
Summary: This unit lasted less than three years before it died. The display never worked. The only place to repair it is thru them... and that will cost as much as you paid for it. Look elsewhere... lots of bad reviews.
Summary: The unit met all of my expectations in size and keeping the wine cool. Once the handle was put on and plugged in it performed flawless. As said in many of these reviews the larger format bottles have to be turned sideways to fit in the unit which will lower the overall capacity. Only issue was damage upon deliver on the back panel which cannot be seen so I kept the unit.
Summary: I have two 28 bottle units, and am not satisfied with the way the units operate. The thermostats do not hold the selected temperature, the temp varies depending on the mood of the unit. On one of the units, just over a year old, a cooling fan went out. I worked with Whytner customer service for three weeks; they never did help me get a replacement fan. I was forced to get one from an online source. I would not recommend these units, they are not worth the money!!
Summary: I purchased this for my mom as a Christmas gift! It arrived in a huge box and was nicely packaged! We took it out and everything looked fabulous! It has a very nice painted silver finish that has a slight sparkle to it! We had to screw in a couple of screws for the door handle and she was ready to plug in! It glows a beautiful blue and does have a slight hum sound to it but was not overly loud at all!
Summary: My wife bought me a Whynter Wine cooler for Christmas last year, 2012. It worked for 7 months, then the temperature control would no longer maintain a set tempertature. I emailed the Customer Service department of Whynter to seek an answer. Their form of customer service is to place the burden of repair on the customer, sending "troubleshooting" advise emails to include taking the back off the unit to inspect all fittings, wiring, LED's and refrigeration controls.
