Summary: Well let me say this ....I can't say anything good since I expect a refrigerator to be designed so that the ice bin can be removed and not turn into an iceberg. When this happens it continuously leaks down the front onto the floor. If you do not remove the ice bin weekly and remove the ice build up.... the only way to remove it will be a major defrosting effort. It's been like this since the 1st week....
Summary: Good refrigerator.....keeps good temp, and reasonably quiet. Only problem in the 18 months we have had it is that the ice bucket gets stuck (frozen, I guess) in place. Very frustrating.....just about break it every time we remove it. Will try Perdie's advice (earlier review) to remove the bucket and wash it with warm water monthly.
Summary: Have had this unit for two years. Because the ice bin is located in the door and is constantly exposed to outside air, it frosts up. Within days of taking the bin out and emptying it, it frosts back up again and will not dispense ice. Very poor design! We basically don't use ice anymore.
Summary: This is a terrible fridge. Whirlpool has been out 7 times. The freezer keeps frosting up and the compressor is horribly loud. They say they won't replace it, just keep coming out and repairing it. I will never by Whirpool again. They have been terrible to deal with.
Summary: The fridge makes good use of a tall, shallow space, and is a suitable replacement for a built-in unit. It is reasonably quiet and spacious. The lowest fridge drawer can open only if the door is completely open, an inconvenience. The fridge door shelves have limited useful adjustability. Some of the freezer space is pointlessly tight. The water and ice continue for a moment after removing a cup. The external display shows desired rather than actual temperature.
Summary: It's not too noisy for me and my TV is in the same large room as is the refrigerator (it's a great room area). Yes; it runs and not constantly either. It is; a refrigerator after all. My two main gripes are that the door handles are plastic with a coating on them and they can scratch-up easily. Replacing the door handle is beyond expensive - I checked into it. Like $180.00 for a plastic handle.
Summary: Had to respond to some of these negative reviews. The Fridge is quiet - the only noise I hear is the ice dropping - a lot quieter than my old Amana (which was also quiet). Its a great looking fridge - I went with the white model. Ice making is not super fast - but then again water can only freeze so fast - not a concern.
Summary: Spent what I consider a ton of money for this unit. Water started leaking from under the freezer side. Repair came out and told me it is a door leak and condensation is casuing the leak. Well the last time it leaked there was NO ice or water on the inside of the fridge. I called Whirlpool direct and they were pretty much "sorry about your bad luck". NEVER will I buy a Whirlpool again. Terrible customer service.
