    We bought this fridge May 25 2014 together with a new Samsung washer, drier, & dishwasher. We picked up the fridge from Future Shop May 27 2014.

    We were thrilled to have this fridge to replace our old side by side. It was on sale at Future Shop in Duncan. Once home, & we connected and double checked all the water connections. It flooded my kitchen because of the water leak from the water solenoid valve housing. This I visually verified, and will upload a video on YouTube later.

    May 28 2014, Wednesday, we tried to get help from Samsung using their 1-800 number but they told my wife there was air in the system causing the leak & just to let the fridge run 6 gallons! I was irritated by the suggestion & called them again & asked them if they ware going to pay for the flooding damage. Samsung Canada relented & agreed to open a Technical ticket #5108586012 after I explained where the water leak was coming from.

    Samsung Canada asked us to email a proof of purchase copy to CASVC15@samsung.com. We called Samsung Canada a few hours later to verify if they have received our receipt & we were told to wait for 48 hours. We again called back Friday May 30 2014 & was told someone will call us on Monday. We called Monday June 2 2014 & was told they did not get the receipt & wanted to verify the email address, and was told we had the wrong email address (which was provided by them & verified twice). We asked if we could fax it to them & asked for their fax number, Samsung Canada said they have no fax number. We are now about 1 week with a defective new Samsung fridge & no support at all.

    We called Future Shop & said it is ok to return the fridge. We are returning the fridge today.

    This fridge is a waste of time, money, & gasoline.

    I might cancel the order for the washer, drier & dishwasher, after what we have been through on this ordeal, I wish never to deal again with Samsung Canada support.

    My TV's are all Samsung & have used Samsung without issues, they work properly. This review is about the fridge & the support (or better described as lack of support) from Samsung Canada. If you are in Canada & using Samsung, pray that the product does not break & you need to contact Samsung Canada. It is an ordeal!

    You can't even upload a proof of purchase copy online! Go to the US site & it will allow you to do it.
