Summary: I wish I could leave the star area blank because this machine doesn't deserve even one. The unit is only several years old but has had a host of problems, not solved by a truly unhelpful customer service department and repair visits. The logic board failed, there is a constant icing problem at the rear of the refrigerator compartment and the temperature control is terrible. Milk spoils on the top shelf, while vegetables freeze in the bottom drawer at the same time.
Rusted Stainless Steel doors in less than 6 months

Summary: Do Not Buy SAMSUNG they do not stand behind their product! The surface of both stainless steel doors started to rust in less than 6 months. It started with small pits all over the outside of both doors and continued to grow. We contacted Samsung and they told us that it was cosmetic and not materials or workmanship. They then proceed to tell us that we used a cleaner that caused this problem.
Summary: I have a Samsung Refrigerator which is just over 5 yrs old and needed to be repaired out of warranty. The freezer door on the actual refrigerator never really closed properly as I always had to give it an extra push to make it seal properly. After a while the problem seemed to get worse as the door at times would reamin slightly open causing food spoilage and high electric bills. I will admit I am getting older as I am a retired on a fixed income and age is settling in.
Summary: I have owned a Samsung fridge and have had nothing but problems with it. Samsungs I have found out have notoriously had cooling problems especially with the coils freezing. Don't just take my word for it, look up class action on Samsung fridges. I tried repairing this fridge twice with appliance repair companies to no avail. Once your fridge stops properly cooling, it more than likely will cost you less to buy another brand.
Summary: This fridge looks beautiful and appears to be an excellent buy for the price. I have had mine for a year now and it does what it is supposed to: freezer section keeps things frozen, fridge section keeps things cool. Unfortunately, it has a most serious flaw in that it makes these loud cracking/popping noises several times an hour. The website claims these noises are "normal" and a result of expansion and contraction.
Summary: The compressor makes a loud noise when it runs and is very noticeable. It's noisy. We called out a technician to fix it. He ordered a new "panel" that he said was rattling. They came and changed it and guess what? It's still noisy. The compressor is just a very low grade part and there is no sound insulation around it. Did I mention it's really noisy? I'll be surprised if this thing lasts one year.
Summary: I would give this product and its manufacturer a negative rating if possible. I've owned this unit for approximately 8 months without any issues. One day about a month ago, the freezer decides to stop working. Since I was within my warranty, a service technician was sent to my home to fix this unit, free of charge. He replaced the fan in the freezer and also the LCD display since a light was not working on that as well.
Summary: Less than a year into owning this disposable appliance, we had to have all the coils in the freezer size replaced. Now, two years in and the refrigerator side has stopped cooling. Shame on Samsung for making such crap and shame on Sears for partnering with them. This unit was designed to make the service departments money. Nothing more.
Summary: I bought a Samsung refrigerator and the freezer door broke within two weeks. We opened the door no more than 5 times. Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. We bought a package of four Samsung appliances and two of the four did not work.
