Summary: Nightmare of a refrigerator. First off - all the complaints other reviewers have posted are valid. The fridge gets too dark,the controls are awkward and not intuitive at all so unless you use them daily keep the manual handy or prepare to spend time every time you need to readjust settings that take no brainpower at all on any other refrigerator.Also,every time you dispense water some spews all over the place and down the door all the way to the floor. the floor.
Summary: I bought a Samsung fridge 18 months ago. It never worked properly and began cracking on the inside liner after the first year. I did not buy this model, but I am leaving the review because of the run-around I am getting from Samsung. They refuse to stand buy their products and will not refund my money. I bought Model # RS261MDWP, SN #: 2005225. It has a fundamental design flaw featured on BBC watchdog show. Go to youtube and search Samsung refrigerator.
Summary: Great fridge, spacing and design is great. We have had ours for just over a year and I would highly recommend. We had to buy a samsung because of the spacing in our house and their fridges are about 1/2 lower then most. I wasn't sure I would like this brand but It has proven to be a great fridge with amply space and easy to use. I highly recommend.
Summary: I have owned since Sep 2013 and have had zero issues with the ice maker. now i will say that i've owned a few ice making fridges that have the crush ice feature and i learned never use that, because i have had bad experiences with it. i have 4 teens, and a couple of them "insist" on crushed ice but not always and they always switch it back ,etc, point being, i think the crushed ice feature is what causes most of the problems.
Summary: I got this model from Lowe's. I got it installed and the ice maker didn't work. I called, they told me some stuff to do, it didn't work. I called back, they said it would take 48 hours for a serviceman to contact me. 72 hours later, they called to tell me that the warranty information had expired and I needed to prove that the product had been purchased 10 days ago! They said once I did, it would be another 24 hours before they would contact me.
Summary: I don't have any major problem with this refrigerator except one simple dangerous issue. The front edges of the shelves in the refrigerator section are blunt and too sharp. I already cut my hand TWICE and both cases I was bleeding. This occurred when my hand tried to reach deep. When unlucky the top side of hand scratches the front bottom edge.
Summary: DO NOT BUY! I wish I would have read some reviews thoroughly. We have had this product for 14 months. The first one was replaced within a month. The replacement had 4 repairs and it is still doing the same thing! The freezer sounds like a "helicopter" is landing! It was explained that the fan is hitting the ice buildup. Samsung Support will do nothing even at this point, when our last repair was 2 months ago.
Summary: This is by far the worst refrigerator! We had it for a year when we had to replace the ice dispenser, it no longer released the ice. Then we had to replace the main fan and after about 8 months the fan started making very loud noises again. I am going to call Sears to have it checked out and most likely replace the fan again. Good thing I bought insurance on the darn thing!
