NOISY!

123ABC, pcrichard.com
18 January 2015
  • Excerpt: We bought this refrigerator two days ago. It is beautiful and does everything a refrigerator should do but we have had some early problems. First, the shelving is very hard to install and will only go in in a limited number of ways because the door can not be closed due to conflicts between the shelves in the refrigerator and those in the door. Evenso, we finally managed and the result is quite good.

  • Excerpt: The refrigerator looks very nice and does the job it is supposed to do. However, the ice and water dispensers in the door are very stiff to use.

overall average/good refridgerator

Cmbeiler, pcrichard.com
7 November 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought this about 3 months ago and have been happy with it for the last 2 months. I had no ice for the first month and the store where i bought it came out 4 times before they realized the door was defective and not angled correctly. So they finally stuck 2 shims at the top of the door to make the ice maker make ice...very frustrating and for this expensive of a fridge i was not happy with that initial issue.

  • Excerpt: Like the extra space and don't understand why the smaller counter depth model is so much more expensive.

A bit noisy

OttG, pcrichard.com
28 October 2014
  • Excerpt: We like to configuration and storage options on this side-by-side. However, if we had it to do over again we would have upgraded to a different model. This unit is noisy when the water is activated for the icemaker, and when the ice is finished it falls in a fashion that will wake the neighbors. The unit is stylish and the front panel provides all the necessary features to make it a functional unit.

Not the Kitchen Aid we expected

unhappy one, pcrichard.com
19 October 2014
  • Excerpt: Purchased this model about one year ago. We also had a Kitchen Aid 25 cu. ft. counter depth previously. The older model was superior to this model in as the present ice maker is very noisy dropping ice one cube at a time. The volume of noise dropping ice will wake you from a deep sleep. The ice bin is less than half the size of the older in door bin model. Makes ice very slowly even when the freezer temperature is at minus 3 degrees.

Shelf configuration

Abcdefg12345, pcrichard.com
6 October 2014
  • Excerpt: The shelf arrangement is ridiculous! There are two shelves that are so narrow, it is hard to use them. There s no way to configure the shelves in any other way. I am not happy with this at all!

Is my love of kitchenaid over?

Mike11617, pcrichard.com
3 October 2014
  • Excerpt: I have bought Kitchenaid appliances for years. This time I have had to have service twice. First my fridge was leaking on my hardwood floors and needed a hose replaced to my icemaker and 2nd my glass cooktop exploded. I am still under warranty but now keep wondering what will happen when it expires.
