Summary: I have owned this refrigerator for over a year now. I've corresponded with KitchenAid's customer service and had three repairmen come by to inspect it. Bottom line is that a design flaw causes a noise that I can only describe as a chain saw very slowly cutting through a metal pipe. It's very irritating. And you never know when the sound will occur. If I had it to do over again, I would *definitely* have tried a different brand.
Summary: Like the sleek looking, but it died less than 6 month, repair 3 times, no fix. Poor product, poor service, it's 2 month ago, I still have no frige to use now, have to refund to buy a new one. Countless trouble. Run as far as u can.
Summary: This product has been a nightmare. I purchased it on the 3rd of June 2013 and it died within two weeks. We lost in excess of $400 of steaks and food due to the fact that the refrigerator stopped cooling. The service repair company was very prompt, but informed me that the entire motherboard had to be replaced and the part wouldn't ship from whirlpool until the 3rd of July 2013. The motherboard, being the brain of the machine, controls everything.
Summary: bought this fridge after researching extensively. loved it until it died 5 months after I bought it. needed a new compressor, and new valve and the electrical unit that works the valve. that isn't bad enough...it has been three weeks and I still have not gotten a full repair. it took 11 days for their certified repair shop in my area to let me know that the part was backordered and they didn't know when they were getting it.
Summary: We had this refrigerator for 6 months and Kitchenaid had to replace it with a new unit, but the same model. Problems - small ice storage, water comes out of the dispenser warm, so you have to dump the first 8 oz and then it comes out cold, as the water hose is not insulated well inside the door ( this is just bad design, and I am afraid most of them are like that).
Summary: We owned a KitchenAid refrigerator for six years and were very pleased with it. Unfortunately, it broke and couldn't be repaired by the Geek Squad, who gave us an exchange in accordance to our policy. We decided to get another KitchenAid refrigerator with a comparable price and features. The quality of the new fridge seemed to be a big step down. It was awfully noisy (I never noticed the prior fridge), the doors weren't aligned well, and it seemed a bit more fragile.
Summary: Noisiest appliance we have had and that's saying a lot when our wine cooler is on its last lap! VERY disappointed in KitchenAid's quality assurance process.... Actually, I don't think it exists. We got this a day after it was offered in Best Buy and have only had it a couple of months: the ice dispenser is always refusing to dispense ice, the control panel is really low functioning despite how high-tech it looks, the ice grate sits at the very bottom of the well making...
