Summary: Two service calls required to diagnose problem, order parts and install. 8 months later it stopped making ice. This Refrigerator is a major disappointment in my kitchen. I hope no one else makes the same mistake as I did - avoid this product like the plague. I need to go get a bag of ice now.
Great refrigerator! No complaints....love it so far

Summary: No complaints here. This is a wonderful frig. We've had it since Aug 2013 and could not be happier. Very quiet, high tech, beautiful finish cleans up pretty well with Perfect Stainless available from BB&B
Summary: I hate this refrigerator. I had my 6 th service call for the ice maker today it quite making ice.. He ordered the parts to rebuild the ice maker and control panel. When I got it a year ago the ice would come out crushed and sometimes cubed. The ice would stack up in the shoot and when you opened the refridge door it would spill all over the floor or into the refridge and make a huge water mess. We came out one morning to water and ice all over the floor.
Love the design BUT it is 1 year old and leaking water on my floor on a weekly basis.

Summary: Now as part of the 1,000 things I do each week I have been adding breaking the ice that builds up on the bottom of the fridge. I love the design & the veggie draw. It is a great fridge layout wise. The tray to the ice maker/water filter is corroded. They were supposed to send me a replacement part and I never received it. I followed up a few times, but never got it. I also often find water on the top shelf under where the filter to the water is. I don't know why.
Summary: I have only had my fridge for a few days, so I can't speak to longevity, etc., but this fridge holds so much more than the comparable size side by side. My old 25 cubic ft side by side was full and after switching everything over, I still had plenty of room in the french door. I really love the drawer on the KitchenAid because unlike other brands, I can see what is in the drawer every time I open the fridge, no more veggies rotting in the back of bins where I don't see...
Summary: I have had this model refrigerator over 6 months. I see a very noticeable cost savings in my electric bill. Not a thing to complain about. It has a lot configuration possibilities inside for storage. It is quiet. It is reliable. Water and ice work fine. I was a bit concerned about the glass lower shelf in the refrigerator, I drop things sometimes, so I put foam padded poster board in there, I can change it if it gets dirty.
Summary: Bought a very nice kitchenaid refrigerator less than a year ago, was one of the better models (KFIS29PBMS00) and today it is repairable but according to the warranty service technician it would be cheaper to replace it but that will take 5 BUSINESS days. WHAT? Surely that is a joke, this company makes good products and I thought would stand behind their warranty as in replacing something quickly.
Summary: I have no idea what some of the other reviews are talking about. We bought this refrigerator in March of 2013 and it has been flawless. It was our first one with an ice maker and it works fine. I never expected my kitchen to sound like a tomb, so when the water refills the maker, it does make a little moise, but not so much as to make me head for the basement to avoid an onrushing train.
Summary: Had the KitchenAid Architect Series II KFXS25RYMS delivered a week ago. So far I'm pleased with our choice. This one replaced a Whirlpool Plus model that was problematic from day one (yeah, I know that Whirlpool and KitchenAid are the same company). I did buy the extended warranty this time; Just too many sub components that can go bad. I do like that fact that it has a magnetic surface.
