Summary: Had the KitchenAid Architect Series II KFXS25RYMS delivered a week ago. So far I'm pleased with our choice. This one replaced a Whirlpool Plus model that was problematic from day one (yeah, I know that Whirlpool and KitchenAid are the same company). I did buy the extended warranty this time; Just too many sub components that can go bad. I do like that fact that it has a magnetic surface.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER - DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL

Summary: This fridge was purchased 9 months ago and the ice maker has already broken. A sears technician came out (had to miss work) to repair it and deemed it UNrepairable due to a manufacturer's defect. The sears technician filed their report with #whirlpool (who owns #kitchenaid) and whirlpool claimed we would have to have a second opinion come out and take a look (day 2 of missed work).
Summary: I bought a Samsung refrigerator and the freezer door broke within two weeks. We opened the door no more than 5 times. Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. We bought a package of four Samsung appliances and two of the four did not work.
Excerpt: Love, Love, Love this Refrig! So far so good! Ice container is very small and is ok for our empty nesters household but with family over it does not make enough ice. Other than that I absolutely would recommend this to everyone. I am new to KitchenAid Brand but like what I see so far.
Pros: Attractive Design, Customizable Shelving, Definitely Have Recommend, Easy Access, Energy Efficient, Holds Temperature Well, Love The Extra Drawer, Quiet, Space For Tall Items, Stylish
Summary: We've had this fridge for a month now and it's a great size and works perfect! Based on other reviews we wouldn't agree it hasn't been loud at all. As long as it keeps working we couldn't be happier. Wife loves the lighting and space. Ice maker isn't very large, but seems sufficient for a regular family. The ice cubes are the same shape but a little smaller than the previous Whirlpool/Kitchenaid ice makers.
Summary: I have had this refridgerator for six weeks. Two sound modules have gone out.(The alarm for the door). The front has rust streaks on the bottom drawer and both upper doors. Kitchen aid denies any responsiblility for the rust as " cosmetics are only covered for the first 30 days." What a disappointment this is, a huge waste of money. As far as "stainless" goes- good quality stainless steel will not hold a magnet. Magnets do stick.
