Check the doors

Chuck Chuck The Villager, reviews.lowes.com

  • Summary: Firstly, I want to say I have been satisfied with Kitchenaid’s customer service about this refrigerator, I simply think they have designed a product that has a very fundamental flaw: the door will automatically close from 90 degrees. This means that if you are in the refrigerator for more than 2-seconds the door will close on you.

Design flaw

Amy, ABT Electronics
13 October 2009
  • Summary: There is a design flaw where the vegetable bins get too cold and freeze. Per Kitchen Aid the fix is duct tape over the dampers. If you want to spend a LOT of money on a fridge that only functions properly with the addition of duct tape, this is it.
  • Pros: Attractive Design
  • Cons: Unreliable
